I'm actually heading to Buffalo for a game too - the Bills vs 49ers game two weeks before the Pats-Bills game. My dad is a huge Niners fan but has never seen them play, but we live about 5 hours southwest of Buffalo so we got two tickets for him and myself to go see them play there this October as a Father's Day gift.
I'm in a similar position as you - trying to figure out what hotel to stay at and where to eat since we will be staying Saturday and Sunday night. Some nice food tips in this thread so far... We were figuring a chain for a hotel but I've been researching...
Let me know if you decide on one - I haven't yet so if you think you've got a good pick lined up then I'd love to know.Think i will book at one of the downtown ones...hampton inn or embassy
I was looking at the ones downtown and for that night they are around $200 for the night

I expected to get heckled when i went to the Pats0Jets in NJ years ago..i got called a Dbag once..and that was it..everyone was turning on each other
My guess is the sooner Pats put the Jills or Jests out of their misery in the game, the better. Like last year, the Jills scored early and the fans with all the Wrecks hype thought they were finally going to win the division. And about 10 minutes later reality sunk in and the Pats had a 7 point lead.
With the LOLphins it's pretty much a home game
Priceline Name Your Price it.
I guarantee you can do better. Just make sure to use the highest stars available, 3 or 4.
We book out-of-town guests for work at places like Embassy Suites ($150), Comfort Suites ($125), Hampton Inn $(160), and Lafayette Hotel ($175). If none of these work, you can go uptown a bit to Holiday Inn or Best Western on Delaware, still within easy walking distance of the bars and restaurants. Also forgot to mention the Hyatt. I never recommend them because I had an issue once with their management. But they are of course a decent chain hotel, on the older side, and they are right downtown. Look into the Lafayette because they have an excellent sports bar and grill that non-hotel guests frequent.
If you want to see the biggest damn TV screen you have ever seen in your life, stay at the Marriott Harborview and eat at 716 restaurant down below.
Never did name your price..will give it a try
For those that drive or have driven from MA..how long did it take you? 6.5? 6 ish?
6.5 to 7. I do this several times a year (twice in summer for vacation, visits to Boston, and also Patriots games).
Take note: you can grab airline tickets on JetBlue for $49 each way Buffalo-Boston.
Let me know if you decide on one - I haven't yet so if you think you've got a good pick lined up then I'd love to know.
