I remember people were ****ing their pants about drafting this guy back when I used to post at cbs sportsline. What's he had like one good season?

Donald Brown: very good at catching passes out of the backfield. Really good speed. Stout runner, good balance. Not much wiggle.

BUT, has been benched repeatedly throughout his career for not picking up blitzers and protecting his QB.

So, Positives: Fast, strong, good pass catcher
Negatives: bad blocker, little wiggle, undersized but thick

Pats can sign as many of these guys as they want and it's fine by me. If one Dion comes from them every so often then sweet.

Brown, 28, was selected in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He was with the San Diego Chargers in 2014 and 2015. Brown has 695 career carries for 2,829 yards with 18 touchdowns in his seven-year career. He also has recorded 120 receptions for 1066 yards with two scores. Brown had 78 carries for 281 yards with three touchdowns and 11 receptions for 169 yards last season. The 5-foot-10, 207-pound running back joins Dion Lewis, James White, Brandon Bolden, Joey Iosefa and Tyler Gaffney on the Patriots’ depth chart.
