That's absurd. You're basing this on a single game? Ryan has been very good all year long, including against the Jets in the first meeting.

Pats were missing their starting safeties today as well.

Ryan had safety help in the first game

I get that the offense struggled for most of the game, but they also played pretty well in that fourth quarter.

You win this week and next week means nothing and you can rest starters. Now you have to go out there next week, play hard to win and risk further injury....

Sorry but I can't fathom giving the other team a chance to win when you've got the #1 overall seed and two whole weeks of rest on the line in this game. You can't convince me that it makes sense.

The offense was not playing well in the fourth quarter. We needed two longshot, fourth down conversations to tie the game.

The staff knew this would be an uphill battle long before the game. Why else would we have so many trick plays in the game plan early on.

It was debatable . The offense scored 1 Td all game and the last drive required 2 4th downs. Cant do that in OT if you get the ball first. If the pats had made 1 stop after stopping the jets all of the 2nd half after the TD, they wouldve been in better shape to ride Gost to win. Instead they gave up the TD in a blink.

I said "pretty well". And yeah, having to convert two 4th downs isn't ideal, but they DID convert.

That's still making plays and playing "pretty well".

NFL rule: "Elect to kick" vs "Elect to defend a goal". I thought it meant the same thing. I guess BB and Slater thought the same thing.

Why? The Jet defense is decent. The Steelers are deep at wide receiver however as a team they are wildly inconsistent.

Yes, the Jets won today and the Steelers lost. The Steelers offense can put up 45. They are a more dangerous opponent.

Am actually a bit surprised how strictly Blakeman enforced the wording, because it should have been clear to him that we wanted to kick into a specific direction.

I mean it was correct to do but given how inprecise they are about a lot of other stuff it was at least a bit surprising that he didnt make Slater clarify when Matthew said "we want to kick into this direction".

Again not blaming the ref here.

Ok this is pretty funny. Makes the win even more enjoyable.

Well you think they don't wanna finish with a w against us? Be careful. I wanna see whose playing as well.

I'm telling you Pimp, sadly I've been stuck watching their sorry azz games last two weeks. They have key injuries and don't want to lose any more players over a nothing game. They are on to 2016. Martin, Lafell, Gronk, White, Bolden, Jackson is all Pats need to beat them.

Let me put it this way, if you weren't worried in the game against the Titans then don't worry. If you were worried, then worry.

Does everyone miss McCourty now?

Honestly, at home completely healthy... who would you rather meet? Jets or Steelers?
You guys. I'm not wanting to mess with that Pittsburgh offense if it's rolling, combined with a solid pass rush they have to boot.

Plus we are typically pretty good at responding to losses against teams the second time around.

after todays Superbowl victory have you guys mapped out the parade route and ordered your Superbowl hats and t-shirts yet?

I can see that. Me though, I'd rather stay away from inter-division matchups in playoffs. Especially vs a team where most games are decides by 7 or less.

LMFAO, every team has insane fans. I bet this guy is one of the guys posting coin toss stuff on here. Yo dude get back on your meds.

Our pass defense takes a huge hit when our excellent safeties miss the game. Who would have thought?

Wasn't even like it was that bad. Two biggest plays were OPI that the defense could do nothing about. I mean if Gronk was allowed to just shove guys out of the way like Marshall does consistently, he would have 1800 yards receiving and 20 TD every season.

And if Keshawn Martin running into a defender 1 yard from the LOS is OPI then Thompkins running a pick to free Ewuna in OT was OPI.

Ha, I've just made plans for the week 17 "playoff" game vs Rex next week. No one here gettin' ahead of themselves. This Jet team not good/consistent enough for that.

Really? The Steelers have scored in the 40's twice this year (against the 49ers and the Colts)
however their defense is inconsistent. They have been swept by the Ravens.

The Jets have two tall receivers that give our defensive
backs fits and a huge defensive line that throws Brady around.

Not sure I agree with all of the Steeler love on this board.

Be careful, you're neighbors to the north aren't very hospitable with opposing fans.
