Schefter on Lewis: No swelling yet (good) but ACL loose (bad)

Unfortunately the main reason he was available to the Patriots is because he had spent so much time injured that other teams seemed to forget about him (ha ha Pagano). This is his second injury in eight games. Part of what makes a pro valuable is the ability to stay on the field. This was a non contact injury. Too bad, but as much as I love watching him Lewis doesn't appear to be able to remain on the field.

the difference between lewis and any other back they might have to trot out there is that he can consistantly take a 3rd and long for a 1st down...via draw or screen. The guy just added another dimension to an already great offense. Basically, the pats lost an option and the less options a team has, the easier to defend.

Pats better be on the phone with Dri Archer's agent tonight either way.

Assuming the worst for Lewis. Can the Patriots claim Archer him off waivers?

I'm no doctor, but how could they determine his ACL was "loose" when an MRI hasn't taken place yet?

we havent used our mini-IR tag yet have we?

Moreno, Cadet, Archer....dare I say, Ray Rice?......nothing sexy, but there's some options out there.

Hey, before the season started, no one thought Lewis would be Lewis. All it takes is one game to turn heads and change perceptions.

Actually, when he walked off, it did not look that bad. God, I hope is just a sprain.
