Ex-Pats: BoB, Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallet & the Houston Texans' ongoing QB situation

I'm happy for Mallet. Would love to see him be successful. He threw a beautiful TD last week. I never was impressed with him as a Patriot, and thank goodness we drafted Garappolo, but always liked Mallet's arm.

Looks like BOB doesn't have the same control of that building as BB has of Gillette now that someone's leaked it out.

Is it such a good idea to yank your starting QB after only one game? Seems to me you have to give them time to become acclimated- especially since Hoyer seems to still have a little Cleveland in him.

The question is, if Hoyer was on that short of a leash, why didn't mallet just get it from the start? For the record, I think mallet has more upside.

BOB : really quick flip-flop... hope it doesn't backfire. I like him.

I still don't understand how we didn't get at least a couple of 1st Round Picks for each'f'm.

*For Those Scoring At Home: Yes, I'm kidding. ;)

hoyer really screwed up. he played scared against the chiefs. and he really missed some throws. i expected more from him.

i hope somebody takes the job and perform well.

Hoyer's time was when his contract was up here and he was free to start elsewhere ...
Seems like he's older than 29 ... somehow ... just my opinion ... something got lost from his game.

Houston could probably be a good, competitive team with a decent QB. Don't have much confidence Mallett is going to lead them to many wins. Perhaps I'll be wrong.

I really hope that at some point Cassel is starting for the texans this season, love Bill Obrien but what a dumb ****ing move not taking teddy mybridgeovertroubledwaters

Go get 'em, Ryan. This is your time. Make the most of it and take out the whiny, paranoid Indianapolis Colts.

Either way, their quarterback situation is in the ****ter.

Hoyer is really night and day. If he's kept clean he's pretty sharp. But the slightest threat of pressure seems to completely unsettle him. Probably understandable after the beatings he took in Cleveland.

I don't the Chief's defense is a gimme by any means either. Plus first games of the season are often wonky.

I don't understand BOB with this mistery telling the press "you'll only know who is the QB in gameday" , if you're gonna back up your starter qb you just back him up and say Hoyer is the starter.

With this talking he throws Hoyer under the bus and obviously says the QB situation is a mess.

Did you see Mallet's eyes when Hoyer got nod to play? If looks can kill...........
