When you look back on it, he wasn't really "huge". He was above average at times and average at others. Whenver he needed to step up in a big spot he failed. Nelson slant TD, SS x 2 in the playoffs and not to mention getting picked by an official in the SB. He was thrown at quite a bit more than I expected last season.

Honestly, I think his name and reputation helped him a TON. If he wore a Logan Ryan jersey during the SuperBowl or all season, I bet he'd be thrown at & beat a lot more. But a lot of QBs practically pre-determine they won't throw in his direction.

There was an article I saw with a bunch of GIFs showing Baldwin getting open on Revis all game.

Pleas explain your "disagrees" with my statement? Everything I said is true.

I was gonna lace into him but then I realized he's back on Jets so that's punishment enough. Have fun bein under 500.

I still believe Revis didn't go all out this year because he didn't want to injure himself due to impending free agency. Guys like him and Talib are all the same - they care about themselves over their team. You could see it from the start of training camp with reporters even noticing he didn't give 100%. He did make some big plays for us, but he also gave up some big plays. The td to Jordy Nelson was a killer in the game against GB.

Too many of you are thin skinned. Revis did his job here while the Pats won it all and now he's gone. That's life as an NFL fan. We all knew he was a mercenary.

Just think of the tens of thousands of Jets fans that threw up in their mouth watching Revis cry in red white and blue confetti last Feb.:D

Revis is so money hungry he'll probably try to sell his ring on eBay sooner or later

Don' care for Revis' attitude, but the revisionist history is that he wasn't a great cornerback?

Hilarious Patsfans rationalization, as usual.

Stop revising history by pretending he played well in the postseason.

No one is denying that he is a good CB.

I can't stand his me first attitude, but he's the best CB I've seen play the game, and I've been watching since the 50's. If Deion tried to make tackles he might be up there too, but he didn't even bother.

I still believe he really didn't like it here since the team and coaches didn't treat him like royalty...reminds me a bit of lebron

When you're used to playing for a losing organisation with a loser culture and loser fans, New England must seem like Mordor.

Where did this myth come from that he didn't play well in the postseason? He had 2-3 bad plays in the Ravens game and one could easily argue that his lack of physicality at the LOS was largely due to the awful way that game was officiated. No corner would be able to help the pick play in the Super Bowl. Other than that, he largely wasn't thrown at. Luck didn't even look his way in the AFCCG either. So I don't get where this came from.

I am also. Great player. And an ***hole.
Not to mention his pathetic weeping when he won the Superbowl. I can understand tears of joy, but his display on the field was kind of embarrassing.

I'm so glad BB didn't give him the money he wanted. Let the jets have him. The me first attitude will spread through that locker room like wildfire.

Well to be fair Arrington was doing everything he could to keep Wilson from looking at Revis' man.

Baldwin caught one pass in the SB and he needed a pick from a ref to get it. The best part of that was when another Hawk came up to Baldwin on the sideline and asked him how he got so open, Baldwin replied that he's a beast.

Now, try to appreciate how lucky we are (and the rest of the NFL fans even if they don't know it) that we don't have to listen to crap from the Seahawks players about being the dynasty that didn't cheat, or whatever nonsense they would have come up with. The Pats have literally shut that team up, and that's no easy task.

Mevis was a part of that.

Revis was statistically superior than Logan Ryan. He was thrown to more and overall covered better players.

I have also seen the Baldwin/Revis breakdown. There were times where Baldwin shook Revis loose but there were many times Revis played a soft man and had help over the middle.

Revis was outstanding last year. While he was not 2009 Revis, he still was a major factor in helping the team win the Super Bowl.

I'll take Mike Haynes.
