If Kraft thinks brady and the team have done nothing wrong then theres nothing to negotiate, all disciplinary actions have to be rescinded.

That may well be the case - the NFL are most likely the ones attempting to negotiate? For all we know, Kraft is just sitting there constantly shaking his head whilst pointing to his demands that he's written in massive writing on a whiteboard...(I'd like to think that's what's going on, anyway...)

Kraft has a real problem with his own fans od A. He doesn't goto battle and B. He doesn't try.

If Thursday comes and he hasn't suede I expect a great deal of fans to turn on him and I don't blame them. He needs to step up to protect the franchise and brady.

exactly.....if the pats did nothing wrong, why would they negotiate? in that case, they could tell the NFL "throw everything out, or we will proceed with lawsuits"

does anyone in the league office actually believe that they can get away with: "ya, it looks like you did nothing wrong, but we gotta save face, so we still want to negotiate some kind of penalty"

I just wonder which part of "If there is no definitive evidence, I expect an apology" does f*ckhead goodell not understand?

Or, if you ask Marshall Faulk, he'll say "by filming the opponents' walk throughs"
Can't blame Marshall...no one could have taken the beating he did during XXXVI, and not come out of it very simple minded...guess that's just something else to blame on the Pats, knocking someone permanently silly...;)

A fair suspension should have been 1-2 games suspension for Tom Brady. Fine, and no loss of draft picks or at minimum 4th round pick. Nothing more, Nothing Less.

Edited. I'm not saying the patriots should get that. Just saying that would be considered a fair suspension by everyone involved.

So it's fair to be punished for something you didn't do? Think about your statement in this light

Obviously not. That's why I want Kraft to fight the league.

If Kraft truly believes the Patriots his team did nothing wrong and he accepts a lesser punishment then he is a coward, and will be forever remembered as one for as long as I live. If he does not take the NFL to court and exhaust all options from clearing the patriots from any punishments, then he fails miserably. It's one thing to exhaust all options and still get punished, it's another thing to accept a penalty like a coward.

Man I hope Kraft doesn't fold on this. I really want this to go to court unless they give us our picks back and nullify Brady's suspension.

After hearing the news about the NFL asking Pats to suspend McNally/Jastremski before this all went down I don't know. I don't trust anyone in the league office and I'm tired of our team bending over backwards to be conciliatory and then getting royally screwed and left to twist in the wind. The more I think about it, the more I just want to Kraft to tell them all to **** off.

the problem here is with the idea that the pats nothing wrong.....because if they did do nothing wrong, record numbers of people (along with their remarks saved by the internet) will look ridiculously, incredibly stupid

the league is trying to get the pats to 'take one for the team'

The facesaving solution for everyone involved is for the Patriots to make a formal appeal, provide "new information" unavailable to the investigation which Goodell uses to state that there is no evidence the Patriots deflated the footballs. The removes the first round pick and 500k and sustains the 500k and 4th round pick due to initial "lack of cooperation". Brady gets his suspension erased and is fined 250k for lack of cooperation.

If nothing more, Robert Kraft has to protect the Patriots Name. I have had it with other teams, media call us Cheaters. Screw Them.
Well said. They must go trough the end and clear the name.
As a fan i demand that Kraft goes in court.
Nobody wants to be a fan of more probable than not cheaters.

Deleted that comment. People like to abuse the dislike button just because you have a difference of opinion.

I still say Goldberg and the Patriots made a massive mistake by rebutting anything that didn't have to do with the AFCCG. This should have been about the science, it should have been about McNally walking past NFL officials in the officials locker room. The rest is all irrelevant, the texts are totally irrelevant. There is no proof the Patriots ever did anything in any specific game.

I don't know why they elected to muddy the waters. People could say they were ignoring the texts? So what? The texts are as relevant as Aaron Rodgers or David Carr talking about air and footballs, as relevant as the Vilings and Panthers, as relevant as the Colts ballboy and his needles.

In other words, totally irrelevant.
