Kraft's response

I agree 100%. Kraft can't act like an angry fan. He's the owner of the Patriots and he has to think and act clearly and decisively...and that means he must put his emotions aside...

Why do people insist on saying things like this? Of course Kraft can act like an angry fan. That is, in fact, precisely how he should be acting.

There is one glaring weakness in any direct attack by Kraft and that is McNally. The guy clearly has acted like a buffoon by text and obviously didn't present well to Wells either. Kraft and Brady have so far made many missteps during this whole ridiculous farce, so if they do go with a direct attack they better have their **** together. And they better make sure Jim "The Deflator" McNally is properly put in check.

Why insult McNally? Take a look at the texts in order by date, and note what happened around them.

Explain, please.

If being the "Deflator" is about illegally getting the balls softer via a lower PSI, what he hell happened in that Jets game? It was a home game, so why didn't McNally get the balls lower than the 16 PSI?

The comments about going to ESPN and calling himself as well as his general attitude all on a company phone doesn't give me much confidence. Neither does the Patriots denying the last interview. Like I said, it makes him sound like a buffoon. I'm hoping he isn't one.

Maybe because an owner has to act differently than you or I would. Kraft has to weigh various factors....you and I do not.

That's why people who understand say things like that Deus.

You have no context for your claim about the texts. That's the problem with this stuff.

Nonsense. Kraft can act like a pissed off fan. Kraft is finally acting like a pissed off fan.

And I understand quite well, thanks.

Sure hope you are right. You have a lot more confidence in McNally then I do. Kraft seems to have confidence in him as well so there is something. Then again he also once had confidence in Goodell as well.

Honest... it's not about confidence. I don't claim any of them to be innocent or guilty. I've deliberately avoided trying to piece every fact together in order to come up with a 'verdict'. Instead, I've looked at the evidence and just tried to follow the chains, on both sides.

For example, it's perfectly understandable that Wells would have wanted a second interview with McNally. On the other hand, it's also perfectly understandable that the Patriots/Wells would say "Four is enough".

...still a jellyfish until further notice.

If Kraft goes to war , I am supporting him 100%. I have been one of his most vociferous critics because he failed to stand up for BB in 2007 and has been irrationally supportive of the POS. However if he shows the courage to take on the League for the good of the team, then I am with him. However, if he capitulates, I will revert to my previous posture. I would hope that his other critics also give him support now.

I would tell Mr Trump wannabe that the Patriots don`t accept his punishment and Brady WILL play in the opener, or the Patriots Don`t play period. So we are supposed to have the First game of the season, raise the SB Banner and yet have Brady suspended? Thats so wrong.....**** you Roger!

Anyone else tired of "Deflator" being seen as biggest proof of guilt ? In my village we have many guys with nicknames. For example : Daniel "Fudgy Buns" and Devin "Long Pipi"... First guy sat on a Fudge-O and the second mispronounced Pipi Longstocking... But their nicknames suggest something more "adult". Really "Deflator" is closest proof they have. Gross.

Argumentum ad nickname. Feh.
