No other way to read this this morning:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...rsuaded-that-brady-needed-deflated-footballs/

"Apart from Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s angerover the clumsy, fire-aim-ready approach the league office has taken to #DeflateGate, Kraft has strong feelings about whether cheating occurred.......

......While most have formulated opinions about the situation weeks before the facts are revealed by the league, Kraft is in slightly better position than the rest of us to formulate an opinion, because he has the ability to investigate the situation on his own. And Kraft has concluded that nothing happened.

Which reinforces the overriding message to Roger Goodell and company: Show up with hard proof, or leave us alone."

Look folks, Florio HATES the Patriots and he's writing this. The tide is definitely moving in the right direction.

......and here's another one from this morning:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/02/06/rice-admits-to-illegal-use-of-stickum/

"......“I know this might be a little illegal, guys, but you put a little spray, a little stickum on them, to make sure that texture is a little sticky,” Rice said, laughing.

It wasn’t a little illegal, it was a lot illegal. As explained in the ESPN feature, gloves were introduced to football after the NFL decided to outlaw the stuff that guys like Fred Biletnikoff and Lester Hayes (pictured) would spread copiously on their hands, and elsewhere. Rice admitted in the feature that he enhanced the surface of gloves approved for use in the NFL with a substance that would make it easier to catch the ball.

I’m going to be point blank, I feel like it’s cheating. Because you have an edge up on your opponent and its unfortunate that it happened.”

With or without the stickum or the gloves, Rice still would have been the greatest receiver of all time. But, as he said regarding the Patriots, he still had an edge."

I think Mr. Florio (who does hate the Patriots) has great sources and a great position at NBC. He seems to be seeing the direction of where this is going and is working hard to get back on the right side of this story. Classic case of CYA.

People are wondering what's taking so long; well the reason is simple. The NFL has no proof of anything the Patriots did, the Patriots just won the Super Bowl, and the investigation is leading towards a dead end.

The NFL either:

A). Does not know where to go from here, and knows that if they clear the Patriots of any wrongdoing, that the public will not like it.

or

B). Knows where the investigation is leading and it is not pretty. Not pretty for the Colts organization.

I go with choice B. The investigation has led to the Colts and the NFL does not want to go down that hole because it can implicate collusion from an NFL team to frame another NFL team and accuse them of cheating. So it's either clear the Patriots, apologize, and move on, or continue the investigation and uncover the truth that the holier than thou Colts tried to frame the Patriots.

If the Colts are found to be guilty of this, oh how I want to see Dungy take it while Rodney sits there with a huge grin from ear to ear.

He is not on Patriots side, he just knows how to troll Pats fans. He has spoken from both sides in this case. At this moment, all I want is just the facts and I will go to work on people.

Florio is a genius. He knows how to get people to go on his crappy website. I hate him yet I go on his stupid site to see the latest gossip.

Florio is the NFL version of TMZ

I just want this to end at this point. I am really tired reading about this. The haters already have their mind set so changing their minds with facts is a lost cause. NFL just needs to come out with the report that says the Pats did nothing wrong and be done with this issue.

I'm with you on wanting a conclusion soon, but the country isn't just haters and Patriots fans. There are a lot of casual fans and even non-football people who have formed opinions as the witch hunt became a national story. I want the league office to apologize and exonerate the Pats, Brady, and Belichick, so that these people know it was all BS.

I think society is comical. I cant tell you how many people tell me they hate Tom Brady. I ask why and its always the same response. "Because he is ****y"

Which seems odd since he is probably one of the most humble players I have ever watched in sports. So I ask for examples and its always stumbling or silence.

This is just how the world is. Full of sheep who just repeat what they think they are supposed to say instead of forming an intelligent opinion. That unfortunately, would take actual thought and work and people dont like to do those things.

I was talking to some Pats haters before the Super Bowl, and they mentioned something about a video where Brady ignored a bunch of kids asking for autographs. I've never heard or seen it before. I also went to college with a girl who was a huge Pats fan, but didn't like Brady because of the break up with Bridget Moynahan. People are weird. I don't expect everyone to know the details, I just expect myself to know the details so I can express my opinions accurately.

Of course Tom Brady is ****y. He wouldn't be able to do what he does if he wasn't. He HAS to believe he will win so his teammates believe it. When people say they hate Tom it's not because he's ****y, it's because he's great, the best ever. he's also handsome and he's married to s supermodel. Let's face it, we'd hate him too if he weren't ours. I'm just grateful he is.

He is confident which can be mistaken for ****iness. I have never seen him be ****y or bad mouth anyone. The 'they should check the rules" is about as smart ass as he has ever been and it was a true/legit statement that needed to be said to whiners.

A couple years ago a guy at work said he hates Brady because he is a bad example for kids because he had a child out of wedlock. He was rooting for the Jets. I asked him if he knew who Antonio Cromarti was. He said well, he's not a role model.....

Negative for me on that. I like most of the players in the NFL including all the top qb's, I just like the Patriots and their players much more.
