If I'm BB I'm reporting every infraction any team ever does in a game against us from this point forward.

Every game I'll say the opponents balls feel a little deflated(over inflated vs the packers) potential camera men? reported

Noise? reported

Slow to show replays at opposing teams stadiums? Reported.

Missed field goal? Better report the opposing team for ****ing with the kballs.

Scorched earth in the nfl.

I can only hold out hope that this was the doing of the weather, Brady, or another employee.

The key is that Belichick wasn't aware of and/or didn't order this. Otherwise... welp.

If this were the Jacksonville Jaguars would any punishment metered out be the same?

I think not, unless there is no punishment handed down.

First Half (deflated balls)
Brady 11-21 95 yards 1 TD, 1 INT
Team Rushing
20 Carries, 93 yards, 1 TD

Second Half (reflated balls)
Brady 12-14 131 yards 2 TDs, 0 INT
20 carries, 84 yards, 2 TD

What an advantage.

Anything new from that insider guy?

This does reek to me of one of those wink wink deals between coaches. No one thinks the conditions of the ball are so big a deal that it's going to impact the game, so they say look, make it how your guy likes it, we'll make it how our guy likes it, and everyone just looks the other way.

Then one guy gets pissed because they are continually pants by a better team, and decide to break the code.

I honestly don't believe Belichick had any involvement with this at all. It may be that an equipment guy knows how Brady likes the footballs and tries to get them to that point every week but I don't think Belichick, Brady, or anyone with any real authority was behind this.

The truth IMO is that it is absolutely ridiculous that the NFL followed Manning's demand that teams be allowed to adapt their own game balls, teams should have no say in the matter, the balls should be tended by NFL personnel and no one from any team should be given access to them other than The QB throwing them in the sideline.

But it makes it easier to grip and throw, at least that's what all these media experts are saying.

but he did better when those conditions were not there

Not the point. Maybe they played better with the inflated balls on this night. Clearly they prefer them deflated. Suppose they play all 17 games with deflated balls and score an average of 3 ppg more. Not saying that is what happened, just pointing out that you are using a small sample size. No one is saying they wouldn't have beaten Colts regardless; if the Patriots are doing something shady to replace/deflate balls after they are checked in by officials, it is a serious, serious violation of the rules, and one they are doing to their advantage.

I have to believe there is NO WAY this is something Bill Belichick had control over. This has to be on Tom. Period. And even so, who really cares? If we get docked draft picks it's time fot Kraft to lead the charge to oust Goodell.

His biggest ally could very quickly become his biggest enemy over this ridiculous accusation. Taint this franchise one more time, just before the biggest event of the year......treading on very thin ice Roger.

Not calling him stupid by any means. But, as Vinatieri said, Belichick looks for a competitive advantage in any way that he can get it. Hopefully he's not implicated in this but, if he is, it honestly wouldn't surprise me.

Really would doubt BB being implicated, in that:

1) The NFL would have to prove the weather was not a factor.

2) The NFL would have to prove that the balls were tampered with, beyond a doubt (e.g. visual evidence).

3) The NFL would have to prove that BB had direct knowledge of the matter. BB, who we know isn't dumb by any means would know to insulate himself in the same way a mob boss insulates himself from a hit by always dealing with a middleman, or dealing with it indirectly, such as telling the equipment manager: "Make sure the balls are the way Tom wants them to be."

4) The big problem, and the big thorn in the NFL's ass is how do you implicate BB or the Patriots without involving the referees (and consequently the NFL, themselves)? If he is implicated, that means they failed to do their job (and so did the NFL), which is to make sure game balls are up to spec at all times through protocol that is hard to mess around with.

Watching videos of the media personalities "testing" the different balls was like watching OJ "unable" to put on the bloody glove.

Doesn't matter. Logic need not apply here.

So if it's Tom, does that mean he may face the punishments everyone is calling on for Belichick.

some how the NFL will keep the refs out of this

The hilarious part is why is that even a bad thing? Since when does the NFL want to stymie offenses? They've done everything they can to make life easier for the offense - and if this was Peyton Manning getting busted, they'd probably wake the competition committee up and have them change the minimum right there on the spot.
