They are conflating the fact that a ball or two are being checked with a claim that they know the results of that get when no one else does.

Once again, drunken drug adled Jim Irsay made a claim that the league has to look into and then told Bob Kravits the league was investigating the Patriots and it is being portrayed as though they did something to the footballs when in truth there has been zero factual evidence to support that claim.

sore loser mentality

**** em

So last night i was watching the nfln replay and yt? he ticker said the ball was OVER inflated....... I'm confused.

I have not seen anybody present any evidence that 1) a ball used by anyone was under-inflated and 2) the Pats had anything to do with it. The refs handle the ball on every play. They check the ball on every play. If they noticed the balls being wrong, they should take them out and replace them. Simple.

Indy has always been the team I hate the most and it never had anything to do with Manning but rather Irsay. Both he and his father are bums. Actually, he is worse than his father. If Irsay knew how easy it was to get drugs in Baltimore now, I wonder if he would try to move his team back.

The dumbest part about this is that as the ball changes temperature as it goes from a cold game to real warm storage. The air pressure will naturally fluctuate, potentially even causing air to leak out.

When Manning was with Indy, they had a team known for being a soft dome team full of finesse players who cry about every loss. After Polian and Manning left they bring in the tough talking Pagano to talk about tough defense and running the ball to change that mindset. Irsay just marked the Luck team for life. They will always be associated with soft crybaby losers. Pagano is trying to distance himself from Irsay but it's too late. I will never let them forget about their temper tantrum after getting their ass kicked up and down the field. You can't clean the stench of loser off this team.

He isn't having any trouble finding them there, but apparently finding someone to drive him when he is doing them is beyond his means.

There is no doubt at all in my mind that he was the one who called Kravitz at home at 1 am and told him the league was looking into wrongdoing by the Patriots when in fact all they are doing is checking a ball at Indy's request. Kravitz was however mistaken, he called his source "unimpeachable" when in truth it was " unintelligible. "

I can't believe we are up to 63 pages on the air in a ball. Who would have thought?!

I very much like my neighbors to the south but this culture of even the hint of scandal is eaten hook line and sinker. CBS, CNN, FOX...all the major media outlets with their incessant bombardment of potential wrong-doing drumming up speculation and drawing out the hate that our great team has festering in other fan bases. It is a great business model.

I am guessing that they will be testing the balls and the majority of them will be just fine. There may be one slightly off due to weather or whatever but that is really going to be very marginal. That potential result would be the same for teams in a Northeast or Northwest environment.

Then it will come out, IF that happens...'ohh, the Patriots are cheaters'...when the reality would be it was off by a extremely minimal amount but since a number has been set and it theoretically could be minimally exceeded then the media will take it from there and incite more hate.

The speed limit on the highway is 110 but if I go 111 then I am speeding. Send out the cop shop and investigate! What a waste of resources.

The refs handled multiple balls and they took one out of circulation, to my knowledge from sources I trust... ONE ball. Now everyone is grabbing their torches.

Indy, you got beat, plain and simple. Your team has a long way to go but I think you got a great QB to try and get you there.

For now, get some rest and get better in the off-season.

Enough....

Well, at least they are still SUCKING FOR LUCK.

I'm sure BB is planing on humiliating the colts from now on for starting this BS. What the colts did reeks of being a whiny weeping loser.

The Boston Herald owes the Patriots one, the least they could do is run a nice big picture of a besotted Jim Irsay with the headline

DRUG ADDICT ACCUSES PATRIOTS OF PLAYING WITH HIS BALLS

love the fact that every game the Cheatriots win there is an asterisk by it! Gotta suck being a fan and not being able to enjoy it!
this coming from a fan of a team that circumvented the salary cap, now thats cheating on a grand scale. if this douch bag of a commissioner was running the show back then the donekys would still be paying the price.

You should enjoy watching the best team play in the SB while you and noodle arm have a nice duck dinner.

ok i will bite, being an elway fan sure must know about cheating huh.

nice......

No doubt, they were fined a million dollars and lost a 3rd round pick for cheating on the salary cap and would not have won their two super bowls without violating the cap as it was their star QB they cheated the cap for.

different QB, same old Colts....whiny soft team

At least we have something to enjoy.

I think some of you here are looking for a scapegoat towards which to spit vitriol at because you are embarrassed by this news. Let me be clear. I am not accusing BB or the Pats of anything here. I'm simply stating my opinion. That it wouldn't surprise me, and yes that I think it's possible, and that yes I believe us to be capable. But I am not saying that they did or didn't do anything because nobody knows at this point.

That's MY opinion and that's my viewpoint. I have had this viewpoint for years, and it's never stopped me from being a Pats fan or supporting the team. I don't HAVE to be a blind homer fan that thinks we are saints, that we are always the victims of the NFL's harsh punishments, that we do no wrong, that we have no dirt, and that we would never cheat, and that when we do, it's not really cheating. So if you guys can't handle this viewpoint, that's fine, I'll refrain from speaking it.

But I'm not the one breaking this news, or accusing the Pats of anything. And I also believe I'm more mentally prepared for whatever the outcome of this situation. What I'm not prepared for is to try to have logical, conversations, for them to degenerate into personal insults or vitriol. So if you can't handle a difference in viewpoint, then continue to have it all you guys want without me.

Well to be fair the Broncos might have won the Super Bowl without circumventing the salary cap. But probably not.
