Why?
Because now we'll have to hear speculation about it for two frakking weeks. It would have been nice to have gotten it resolved ASAP for good or bad.

Why?
So what you are saying is that when Mike Reiss reads that the league is looking into the matter, he has some type of inside information about the definition of 'the matter'?
True. By delaying this till the offseason - means it's not a simple issue which means thee might be something more to it. And if we end up winning - won't be legit until the ruling is made.Unless we are found guilty. Then it's not the worst possible outcome. It would be preferred. If we are innocent it would be best if it came out now. If we are guilty, the worst possible outcome would be for it to come out today.
I agree. Not sure why the NFL would want this hanging over the Super Bowl. Unless they want to attract viewers with the idea that it's the Seahawks versus the big bad Patriots. Pete Carroll isn't such a good role model (see USC).Because now we'll have to hear speculation about it for two frakking weeks. It would have been nice to have gotten it resolved ASAP for good or bad.
So now you feel we are guilty?Unless we are found guilty. Then it's not the worst possible outcome. It would be preferred. If we are innocent it would be best if it came out now. If we are guilty, the worst possible outcome would be for it to come out today.
I was under the impression that Peyton and Brady challenged the "new ball" rule and had it changed to worn in balls because nobody liked the stiffness of the new balls. I believe I heard Boomer Eisiason from the fan say it. BTW, I can't stand Mike Fatcesa. He's already accused, tried and hung us. Spewing his BS about "how come the Pats are the only team that other teams accuse of cheating?"...Uh, because it's a convenient way to explain their loss. And it will never stopThe more I read the more it seems that the referees are responsible for making sure the footballs are properly inflated, and the Patriots do not handle the balls. If the Patriots did something nefarious, it's the officials negligence in keeping control of the game balls. The rule:
So now you feel we are guilty?
Please explain exactly how you think we pulled this off.

What? How would he have inside information? He is a reporter that is quoting a statement that was released and giving his OPINION on what the league considers 'the matter' to be.I think it's pretty obvious the way he is saying it he has additional inside information, and as I'm sure you are seeing, so do others now.
NFL insider on espn believe it or not actually hit this whole situation right on the head.
How hard could the investigation be:
Commissioner: we're there balls under inflated?
Investigator: don't know
Commissioner: go check
Investigator: no INVESTIGATION COMPLETE
Or
Yes
Commissioner: did the refs check the balls as per procedure?
Investigator: No- Okay, refs are culpable INVESTIGATION COMPLETE
Or
Yes: Okay, must have been weather. INVESTIGATION COMPLETE
This investigation could be over in about two hours if they really dragged it out. I suspect Commissioner incompetence.
I thought Polian was gone from Indy. Obviously not. He's still lurking around and whispering in Irsay's ear.Thank you. So the original source was correct. Ok Andy, now what?
Reiss is not a credible source either?

As both teams dealt with the freezing temperatures, Fox cameras showed sideline attendants using heaters to warm up game balls, which is against league rules. NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said Monday morning on NFL Network that officials warned both the Vikings and Panthers not to heat up the balls during Sunday's game, and would remind teams this week not to heat game balls.
"You can't do anything with the footballs in terms of any artificial, whether you're heating them up, whether it's a regular game ball or kicking ball, you can't do anything to the football," Blandino said. "So that was noticed during the game, both teams were made aware of it during the game and we will certainly remind the clubs as we get into more cold weather games that you can't do anything with the football in terms of heating them up with those sideline heaters."
So explain how you think we did it, since you seem to think that ludicrous result is a valid possiblityI didn't say we were or are feeling guilty or I feel we are guilty. Seems to me you are now just interested in twisting words. I said if it turns out that we are guilty, waiting until the offseason is not the worst possible outcome for us.
Hopefully the Seahawks will be our 2015 version of the Chargers. Lock up your playbooks, Petey! The team can use this investigation as motivation
