Is it crazy to think that this story might be enough motivation to blow the Seahawks the eff out of Arizona in 2 weeks?

Gotta love Bob Kravitz. He was just speaking to Callahan and Dennis on EEI as he was getting on his plane and he mentioned the old " taping practices".
Yeah and we're left with the old "Prove something didn't exist" style commentary.

in the end, there's a small (but vocal) % of fans that will believe any anti-patriot rhetoric.

I believe that any time the Patriots have to take to defend themselves vs these allegations should allow them to sue Kravitz for that amount * 3. Which Kraft would kindly donate to a charitable cause. Failing to reveal his source should let him spend some time in jail too.

Though, I'm sure our legal system has better things to do, it's fine time for journalist to be held accountable for making stuff up or not getting confirmation before using their position to work up the weak-minded masses.

Sorry but i don't have to love that fvking POS SH!T Kravitz

I might be wrong, but I believe each team handles their own footballs. I think the allegation is that the Pats under inflated their footballs to make it easier for Brady to grip. I don't believe the Patriots have any access to Indy's footballs.

Boomer Essaison on with Toucher and Rich right now. Basically said nothing to this, and he thinks it's sour grapes from an Indianapolis reporter.

I think that is the issue. Too bad it had no effect on the ball being run down the throat of the Colts.

If this really is something, I don't even know what to say.

Sorry for this irritating news while we are still savoring the nice W last night. :(

Heard it this morning on ESPN and thought of alerting the fans.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...atriots-deflated-footballs-in-afc-title-game/

My first reaction was anger, changed later to irritation, then 'I-friggin-don't-care, Just Win this SB, and more'.

BB already set the tone last night with his "We are on to Seattle" 'victory' speech.

Hope he paste's copies of this ball-gate in every single of available space of the stadium, including the lockers/bags/training equipment, and yes, every friggin practice ball! so that everyone understands how we are never going to get respected and so should continue playing smash-mouth football and earn a few more SB trophies.

Haters and sore losers will never be eliminated, but hopefully their number reduces and more importantly, they recognize the achievements of this great coach/QB + team if we win more.

Proud, honored, and privileged to be a fan of such a fantastic owner/team/coach/QB/players. :)

GO PATS!!

Well, it looks like more than just sour grapes from an Indy honk. Glauber at Newsday says the NFL confirmed there is an investigation. But my bet it's more over whether or not the NFL-provided personnel did their jobs right or not than anything the Patriots did.

First-time poster, big-time Patriots fan. Looking forward to being here! As for my take on this topic:

I think this fizzle out and ultimately be much ado over nothing, but will end up providing more bulletin board material for this already inspired, hungry and tightly bonded team to rally around.

Not that they need any additional motivation, but Kravitz just dumped a lot of fuel on the proverbial fire. I expect to see them come out like rabid dogs against Seattle.
Great first post! Welcome!

So, the Patriots would have passed for 177 yards and run for 220 yards? Is this how it works?

I really don't understand why Pats fans get worked up about this kind of crap.
Enjoy their misery I say.

Go ahead and enjoy it, I want to enjoy wins without this garbage. Seriously, football has to be the biggest crybaby sport in existence, you never hear crybaby ******** like this after a hockey game or series.

The only deflated balls during that game were located in Mr. Kravitz's pants...

On one hand, deflated footballs or not, it was not going to make a difference on the winner of the game. On the other hand, if this is true, why would the Patriots do something so stupid?

This is an outrage! If the Pats weren't deflating the balls, they would have won by just 24 points!

"Buzzkill"... of course Florio is already suggesting that we might lose draft picks..

They provide balls to the referees two hours and 15 minutes prior. The referees measure the pressure and are in charge of said balls from that point on.
