OT: Celebrate! Theismann out of MNF

I thought that Jaws was great last year in the one game they let him do (that opening night double header).

Jaws' football knowledge, although a contemperary with Theisman, is much more "up to date" than Thiesman's. Jaws' work on "Monday Night Countdown" is great, breaking down the game tapes and such. I hope he doesn't abandon that job.

I think that Tirico still thinks he is broadcasting golf. He could be the oldest young guy around. Kornheiser is a joke.

I would love to see an ex-player play-by-play annoucer in the booth (I still miss Frank Gifford).

Jaws is a big step forward, now bring back Boomer Esaison!

Ron Jaworski replacing Theismann on MNF

I've always liked Jaworski, I enjoy watching him break down the plays with the coaches film and show why they worked or failed. He's one of the few experts I enjoy listening to.

I'll still watch or not watch MNF based solely on who's playing but it's nice to know that the announcing will be more tolerable now.

Jaws really is knowledgeable, I just don't particularly care for his commentaries much. Let's hope Tirico gets the boot, too. Personally I think Jaws could be an excellent play-by-play guy with his knowledge of the game and ability to diagnose plays. As long as he leaves it at that.

Kornheiser needs to seriously change, too. I don't need to hear about Dancing with the Stars, even if Emmitt Smith is on the stupid show.

I'm not sure what to think about Kornheiser and Jaws together. Since it's the only game on I will watch no matter what.

I think it'll work. Jaws is on PTI a lot, and he and Kornheiser seem to be friends. Kornheiser and Theismann were always a little bit uncomfortable with each other, IMO, like Joe didn't know how to handle Kornheiser joking around. I think he and Jaws will do very well together.

I think Jaws is excellent, I hope he doesn't dumb anything down and resort to cliches instead of giving real insight like he always does. Hopefully ABC doesn't try and change that.

I have problems with commentators that are constantly trying to be funny. Just announce the game and give some good info along the way. I can't stand it when comedians are constantly trying to drop one liners during the game.

I could not have said it any better.....

Thiesman was pretty good and knows his football, but, Jaws is really awesome and really is an upgrade.

Kornheiser is just so-so. Tirico is OK.

Bring Esiason to TV and you really get someone that is a class act all the way.

Agree witht the assessment of Esaison, however Jaws is not far behind. Tirico is ok at play by play, just hope that Kornheiser does not feel the need to comment relentlessly during the broadcast. I find Monday nite football annoying, too much glitz and not enough substance.. just go barebones, it is about football. If I could, when the Pats play, just listen to Gino and Gil, however the time delay is really annoying.. it is what it is.

I wish they booted Kornheiser rather than Theisman. Theisman is a buffoon, but he is not downright rude and belittling of his co-hosts as Kornball is. I wonder how Jaws will react when Kornball starts mocking him.

espn sucks in general anyway .they are to full of themselves .i try and get my sports from other sources but sometimes its not possible .
