After a loss, Tom Brady will not answer his phone, even if it's his pop, Tom Sr., calling. But curiously, he does check the messages right away. If Tom Sr. wants his son to call him back, he'll say on voicemail, "Tommy, there are no bridges in Boston high enough to jump off." Tom will immediately dial back his father and say, "Dad, you know exactly how I feel."

I wonder if the AFCCG had him contemplating a trip back home to visit the Golden Gate Bridge. Sure had me thinking about it.

The difference is none of us have Gisele Bundchen to go home to. I bet that made him think twice about jumping off any bridges!

I bet he answers when Gisele calls.

We all know Tom is intense and hates losing. That makes me try to think of who would be the opposite, i.e., an NFL quarterback who is laid back. Trent Green? Pennington? Jake the Snake? Marc Bulger? Alex Smith? I don't know, to get to that level, you probably have to be wound pretty tight even if you don't show it on the outside. I've seen Alex Smith on TV some and he looks like he might never lose it. Brady and that other guy (yes, Manning) are the guys you'd want in the big one though.

I think any quarterback who makes it to the NFL has to have at least a little intensity. The competition is too tough to make it on talent alone. Although there have been occasional exceptions in these parts, and Buffalo and Dallas, just for example :D

I wonder how she is going to feel after a loss. She behind riight now in the voting to Bar.

He answers voicemail in his own time.

Like perhaps sending a friend who left an angry VM after losing to Denver a hat with a note that he should at least look the part if he wants to coach. Not that I know anyone who would leave that VM.
