Saints fans still complaining about the refs

Kinda funny they can't differentiate Sproles being hit in the body and Thompkins being hit in the head/neck and they can't think why the hit on Sproles wasn't flagged!

It's one thing to moan about the refs but when you moan about a ht that isn't even illegal, well...

Every fan base has it's tools but there have been a lot of good Saints fans that have come over. I hope you continue to stick around.

Thanks for the good words, you are a credit to this place.

Honestly I have been reading this board for maybe a couple years just because I like to see other people's opinions. Like I said before I have always had a ton of respect for the way the Patriots play the game. Whatever arguments/issues are going on here now don't change the way I think about the team or the fans as a whole. Life's too short for that stuff. You know, Kumbaya. LOL

It didn't take you long to go full troll, I see.

And I am sad to see that you consider respectful visiting fans to be "trolls" when they are being openly provoked. I've never had anything harsh to say about any Patriots fans until a couple hours ago today. Wonder why that is? LOL

Too many good Pats fans here to paint everyone with a broad brush though. At least now I know which posters to avoid in the future.

Passive-aggressive trolling is still trolling. You're not cracking out something new to the world here. Hell, we've got mods who do this, right here.

As for the "openly provoked", give it a rest. You called the tune:

Now you're just crying because people decided to sing along.

I hate to say it, but I think the Saints do have a lot of gripe over. Let's face it, if you were a Saints fan you would be pissed at the calls too! I know I would.

Oh, I would say the Minnesota Vikings have a LOT more to gripe about then the Saints fans do (see 2009 NFC-CG).

I can't tell if Deus is being tongue-in-cheek by slipping in his own passive-aggressive remark at the end..

Funny if intentional.

But something tells me Deus is simply blind to any irony that reflects him in a negative light what so ever!

EDIT:

I think it would be hilarious if someone more enterprising and technical than me would take a look at any of the Saint's touchdowns and cut a gif of uncalled penalties (say a hold on Jones) that's got the Saints and the Jet's panties in such a bunch.

Anyone come across this gif, via Saints whiners?

If so, feel free to respond with this:
(bad officiating really does go both ways)

BTW - That "hold" was just one play before Brees's 3rd and 20 TD pass, too.

common, like thats even close to a hold, compared to Gillette very possible sack.Arm choking and Solder even took time to put the other arm on the bottom spine to bend him back, please Solder was so beat on that play and desperate. He just got away with it.

Yeah, this isn't even debatable; if you want to argue that Solder deserved to be flagged on Brady's TD pass, Then you are admitting that the Saints should've been flagged on the play prior to their own TD pass. It's that simple.

No, no. You see, their GIF is cleverly slowed down to make it looks worse whereas yours is in real time and Solder has his arm wrapped around a neck which we all know is a hold times a kabillion compared to a hold around the waist.

This has lingered long enuff. F' the Saints fans.

No, that is not me. Sorry. I do know who it is, and concede that his post probably influenced my own verbiage, but that's neither here nor there.

Your previous relay directed toward me told me just about all I need to know about what kind of poster and person you are. Sad.

Think it's about time I was done with this trainwreck. I'm sorry I ever ventured over here in the first place.

Both are going down the wrong path. Pretty sure we started it. Not so much on black&Gold but SR is ,again, in full swing of a conspiracy, a robbed game, and if you post much different youll be getting a admin call.
I completely understand the backlash. I was watching and was beside myself thinking how could the refs miss that. I was also appauled my the hit on Danny. That was 15 yards easy. I just hope hes ok.
I also get the afterlash from patriots fans who are mad at us for trying to diminish their win.
Everyone will get over it. We are not happy with the vikings because they continue to whine to this day. Even though its obvious they would have found some way to lose that game.
Graham had 2 catches he would usually make and Talib was not a factor. He dropped them. We've see him do them before in double coverage with CB's hands on the ball. He had a bad day. We have ample time for the offense to start up again, and it didnt, again.
Your aware of the problems. Defense has won 2 games for us and that is unheard of.

Calls or no calls we didnt deserve to win that game. BB had a good game plan and so did SP after the half, but our boys tried thier best and couldnt play better than TB and their boys. TB was in the zone, and thats hard to compete with on his home turf, 31-3 dude, lol.

This is a good forum, like B&G, Id suggest you not give up just yet. We generalized and now they are going to generalize and judge us, its desurved. You have to be ready for that, and do our best to explain our fan base. Its not always easy.

Good luck this season to the many decent Patriots fans on this board; I hope the others (you know who you are) all get awful cases of food poisoning or something.

not appropriate, but I do understand you came with good intensions and was slapped around a bit. Ive said some crazy things to. Im on 32 football forums with the same name, so easy to lookup. This is by far one of my favorites.
I was chasized on the Jets forum for even being here, while I tried to keep an open mind.
Most here accept that and understood Im just a big football fan, and respect the patriots accoplishments. Jets fans did not, though there are alot of good ones that defended me there. I really believe forums are a way for us to work things out, and not just a mechanism for "shout outs" and "put downs. Like we get from many fans calling us Aints all day still. Patriots played a better game. I accually loved that game after I got over my initail reaction. I think most saints fans did to, we are not interested in being undefeated, we want to be a good team and see our boys play well. So please come back when you cool out :) Youll like it here.
…and for god sake get a login at B&G, its way more boring, but not as silly

sorry for bumping this

hmm, no im not doing that, lol, is that ok? lol

I'm pretty sure that you may be the only person in the United States who watched the game and feels that way, pherein.

The announcers, media, fans, and coaches all praised Aqib Talib repeatedly.

So I log onto the site, see this thread near the top, and immediately think: why are Pats fans still complaining about Saints fans still complaining about the refs? The next game is in less than 36 hours for God's sakes!

But then I go into the thread and see it's just a Saints fan defending Pats fans complaining about a Saints fan complaining about Pats fans still complaining about Saints fans still complaining about the refs. So we're good?

The Pats had a great gameplan, were up 17-7 at the half by running the ball and holding the Saints to a little more than 125 offensive yds, which is unheard of. Both Colston and Graham were complete non-factors, and they did a nice job for the most part on Sproles too.

The game became a bit closer at the end as the Saints fought back when all of Talib, Mayo, and Amendola left--but they fought through those challenges and adversity with a lot of guts and poise.

I think it's kind of unfair to blame anything on the refs. There are always going to be a call here or there that doesn't go your way. There are plenty of examples every single game.

The bottom line is that we had a great gameplan, played very good defense, and had to fight through a ton of very important injuries. The Pats definitely "earned" their right to victory.

My biggest gripe with the officials was calling the Dobson offensive pass interference and not calling the one on Stills. If the refs were so in the bag for the Patriots that wouldn't have been the case especially on the at the time winning touchdown catch.

Also if you go through the game Jones was ripped down many times just like Gillette.

I never had any problem with the Saints and often rooted for them in non AFC games. I always thought they're fan base was decent.... Add the Saints to my list of teams I don't care for.

From what I saw, a lot of people uttering idiocies in those threads had a join date in either late 2009 or early 2010 and beyond. One fan joked in a thread I saw about Spygate (his join date was January 2010) and was corrected by a fan who had an earlier join date that joking about Spygate is lame. Real Saints fans, like pherein, are good people. The people that hopped aboard in the 2009 season are scumbag front runners, for the most part. Every team has them.

That is very plausible. Not to defend them, but it's possible that those dates could be the dates that they got into the technical side of rooting for their teams. In my case, I joined this forum after I got my first laptop. I didn't even know what a message board was. :p. My point is , they were probably idiots long before they joined. They wont change their feelings on anything that goes against their precious teams. Just like the back door "apologies" we're getting in this thread. "we're sorry we were .asshats. after the game that the refs won for you". Not buyin' it.

Tired of them complaining of the hold call. If all holding calls were enforced the Patriots would of been 19-0 in 07. Hence the the Tyree catch play. No sympathy here.

Bottom line, I've learned in the closing minutes the refs almost always will let them play. Especially on the last play or two. Don't expect that call to happen.

Get over it, although I will say I probably never will.

Very much true.

For accuracy, this thread should have been titled, "Pats fans still complaining about Saints fans still complaining".
