Why then, would they ban him from setting foot on Patriot property?

Because there's an ongoing criminal investigation and they'd prefer that the police not execute a search warrant on Patriots property, I'd guess.

Don't know what yet? That he has thrown it all away?

Honestly, after reading everything and trying to be as objective as I possibly can, I see no good way out of this. Even if he doesn't get charged, or even if he doesn't get arrested, and even if he escapes scrutiny by the NFL personal conduct policy, how do you think Kraft and/or Belichick would see his involvement in the loss of a human life, in light of his abrasive personality, his history of being difficult to manage?

Even the Myra-less Kraft has already has thrown down the gauntlet, barring Herandez from Patriot property. That is a clear contravention of the "innocent until proven guilty" stance that the organization usually takes with its players.

PP2 you are really reaching far.
If he is not charged, not arrested and not disciplined it would mean he is an innocent witness. Why would the Patriots kick him to the curb for that? Long shot that he is totally innocent but that was your criteria.

Saying Kraft threw down the gauntlet because the Pats said he should go home after being there an hour is a stretch.

is the media this lazy? no one thought to ask the cleaning company if this was a one-off thing or part of a regular scheduled routine.

Try to understand the big picture. The media are a business. The goal in business is to make money. They would want a normal house cleaning to sound like, and i quote 'a scrubbing' as in scrubbing blood. If they ask the next question they can not sensationalize it to get people to react as if it's gospel (like many on this board). When naive people take it for what it's worth, more people watch, listen or read the story and the business makes more money.

It's simple.

The only thing that is fact is a cleaning crew was seen leaving Hernandez's house.

Somehow it has been twisted in all this media coverage to Hernandez called them in to scrub his house day of.

Does anyone really believe Hernandez cleans that house himself?

no he probably hires someone like all rich people.

i just think it is something very easy to follow up on. was this already scheduled, or a one-off thing? if it's scheduled, then this info is absolutely irrelevant for the current news

i agree, the media lost focus on its original duty a long time ago.

Please cite the report where it was stated he was 'banned from setting foot on Patriot property.'

Because I've only read reports that he was sent away after 35 minutes because of a few factors - there were no coaches on the premises and no team activities and the team didn't want the media circus around with Gov. Patrick present for an event.

Does he really need 40 somethin million reasons to chill, relax & enjoy life?!??!!
NOOOOO JUST ONE..... GROW UP/SMARTEN UP!!!!!!!

I thought the exact same thing yesterday

I agree 100%. This is not the kind of person I want my son seeing when we go to the games. I am not Judge, Jury, and Executioner, and my opinion is just that..AN OPINION, but if anything that is being reported is indeed true, regardless of if he is formally charged, than it shows his moral compass isn't pointed in teh right direction...people keep talking about evidence, news reports, have faith, wait to see all the facts, but at the end of the day, this 27 year old man was murdered and in trying to be as objective as possible since yesterday, everything points to hernandez being involved, either directly or indirectly.

I think obstruction will depend on if he cooperates.
The only understandable explanation for the security device being destroyed that I can think of is panic. Lets not pretend (assuming he was not the shooter) that seeing your friend murdered won't cause irrationality in most people. He could have feared being implicated if they saw that he was at his house earlier in the day, or what time he arrived home, etc. Covering up being there even if he weren't culpable is a possibility.

I think there are more reasons he would not want anyone to know he was there than guilt.

I actually agree with you here, but that surveillance footage taht he destroyed could also be something stupid like video showing him smoking some weed and he paniced that he would get in trouble with the league over it...who knows, I am only forming my opinion of guilt because of all the other items being reported....

If all those media reports turn out to be false, I will admit I was wrong in my opinion, but I doubt that will happen..I have a gut feeling.

ABC-TV has reissued the bulletin that an arrest warrant for Hernandez is going to be executed for obstruction of justice, and they are standing behind it. This will be a felony charge.

I knew it

because that's what the lawyers told the pats to do.......

true, keeping quiet, not allowing any searches without a warrant, and in general being unhelpful as law enforcement probes your involvement is in fact wise, in most cases.

But destroying your home security system and smashing your cell phone to bits, if true, certainly rise to the level of being irresponsible. It's why obstruction is a felony.

Again, we do not have facts.
We do not know who destroyed the security system or the phone, so I was speaking about him not speaking.

Can we really continue to overlook the fact that innocent people tangential to a crime have been incorrectly accused and convicted?
I know everyone wants him to go on TV and explain how he didn't do anything and its a big mix up, but Hernandez needs to worry about his future, and his freedom, not whether Patsfans.com has all the info they want.

But why was Harvey Keitel part of the crew?

From Ian Rapoport:

“@RapSheet: There were events at Gillette -- including 1 involving Gov. Patrick -- and they felt Hernandez shouldn't be present”

Not clear that he's been "barred" on an ongoing basis.

I stated the same thing in an earlier thread, but the more I probe, the more I believe he did something bad...

who knows though, like I stated earlier, someone else could have destroyed everything, he may be innocent...I doubt it but its possible...

Its also possible I win the power-ball this week and get signed by the Jets as a QB on Monday...doubtful, but possible

Has anyone answered, do we know 100% ahern destroyed the tapes and stuff? He had 2 other fellas in his house, they easily could have done it. That's the only shady part and who killed the dude.

The speculation and desire to break any news first, whether true or not, was at an all time low during the Newtown tragedy. That trend is continuing with the Hernandez news.

I agree that it doesn't look good as far as Hernandez's future as a patriot goes, but the reports about Hernandez being so abrasive, a jack*****, impossible to coach, etc. are beyond ridiculous now.

The Welker-Hernandez report is as moronic as it gets. Only a murderer could possibly ever get in a fight with a teammate in the weight room. How many pillow fights did Cassel and Brady get into after one of them pranked the other again?

We don't know HE destroyed it.
I will say again, there is nothing confirmed at all.

OK, if you are saying that is your guess, that is fine. To argue it is a strong conclusion based on the available facts is wrong.

I knew it
You knew they wouldn't admit they were wrong after they were already shown to be?
You are dead.
I'm not wrong, if someday you will be.
That is your argument here.

Update: Police have prepared arrest warrant for Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez for obstruction of justice, per ABC News.

Of course we don't but that doesnt matter. We need to guess and then decide whether to convict him.

I don't understand how you feel you are 'probing' by reading media reports that more often than not later turn out to be dubious.
