Re: TOP 5 QBs

Hoge is an idiot.

No he isn't....No one breaks down film on line blocking and running plays better than Hoge. He's way too steeler-centric,but he's less shrill and more enthusiastic about football, than any other of the so-called experts on ESPN.....he and jaws are terrific on NFL match-up(which should be an hour long, imo).:rocker:

Re: TOP 5 QBs

Absurd that he has Manning ahead of Brady and Ben first.

He's a Steeler which means he probably thinks Brady cheated them out of 2 Superbowls. He's far too biased towards one team to be a national analyst, in my opinion, but it is what it is.

What the hell??? Tom Brady was voted number 1 of all the players by the players and he is ranked number 3??? Big Ben is nowhere as good as Brady.

Re: TOP 5 QBs

The Rankings are laughable.:D

Even more laughable is anyone who gets worked up over them and "can't believe" this or that.

I'm sure he has Bradshaw #1 on his overall list.

Re: TOP 5 QBs

1. Brady
2. Manning
3. Rodgers
4. Brees
5. Rivers

That's my list. I like it more.

I like your list but I could see putting Rothlesberger over Rivers getting to 3 SB's and winning 2 is nothing to sneeze at.

I agree you can make the case for Roethlisberger over Rivers at 5. My theory works around the fact that if you put R-Burger on a team without the Steelers D, he'd be in a world of hurt. Rivers despite his ****ty throwing action, would be a top 5 QB on any team IMO.

Re: TOP 5 QBs

Not Eli Manning

Re: TOP 5 QBs

Aaron Rodgers is number one because he won the Superbowl? I think not.
While he may definitely be in the top 5 he is not number one.

REMEMBER THESE ARE ALL IN MY OPINION

Tom Brady - Joe Montana of this era, mirror image that will surpass Old Joe
Peyton Manning - Dan Marino of this era, will perhaps pass him as well
Aaron Rodgers - Brett Favre of this era, but will not pass him lol
Ben Roethlisberger - Trying his best to outdo Terry Bradshaw both have rings
Phillip Rivers - Even after LT left, he quietly led the league in many passing categories for few years now.

I'd say Manning is more Favre-esq than Rodgers.

Re: TOP 5 QBs

Hoge goes through hours and hours of game tape and while he may be able to give a reasonable argument why Ben is number 1, he is out of his mind if he thinks people who are non-Steeler fans will take him seriously.

Brady-Manning. Manning-Brady.

Those two are at the top and no one comes close to them.
