Taking on a Pack mentality? - The Boston Globe

You rarely find quality articles like this that focus on the intricate nature of game-planning, and breaking down what needs to be done to beat a particular opponent, and in this case, the Jets.

Thanks for this. I definitely agree with most of what the article has to say. I think the Patriots will have to disguise a lot of their coverage to look like blitzes to get the Jets to go more conservative.

Now THAT is good info.

Also helps that Greg Bedard came over to the Globe a few weeks ago after being the Packers beat writer for the Milwaukee paper. He had a great, relevant source and the piece was a home run.

Good stuff!

Very insightful and informational. I hope these points are used in tonights game forreal and executed correctly. If we stop the run, we pretty much have a good game.

Can't let Sanchez start improvising and getting out of the pocket. We need to apply some pressure and not give him all day in there either.

I know Rex said he was definitely going to lean on his brother Rob for advice on how to scheme against the Patriots. Do you think Belichick leaned on Capers at all?

Bedard has been an excellent addition to the local media for Pats fans. Frankly he's probably the only reason to read the Globe for Pats columns. Unfortunately the Globe's coverage of the Pats has slipped so badly since Reiss left that a lot of people probably don't read the Globe at all anymore for information, opinion and analysis of the Patriots. Sadly his work is most likely going unnoticed by many, if not most Pats fans.
