Nope, up until around 2000 or so, each team decided who would make their jerseys. Starter did a bunch, then Nike took over some of the 'cool' teams of the day. Adidas did some for awhile, too. Wilson, Apex One...

Sorry but chances are that a 17 year old VHS tape hasn't decomposed by now are extremely slim, unless someone regularly watched and rewound them periodlically, and kept them stored in a dehumidified environment.

I've got the Pats-Browns playoff game on DVD for 94. :D

Also....

1985 Pats-Bears SB
1985 Pats-Raiders playoff (Its always fun to see Patrick Sullivan getting clubbed by Howie Long.
1997 Pats-Packers SB

These have all been dubbed from my VHS tapes so the quality is poor for the
most part. I still enjoy watching them. It's interesting to see Belichick in his
earlier coaching incarnation.

For VHS tapes being stored and used under normal circumstances, in typical household, have a longer longevity than 25 years. They start to degrade after 10 years, maybe more if it's an higher grade tape, but a 17 years old tape should still play fine today.

I have a sizable VHS collection, with a few tapes older than 25 years, and none of them have died on me yet.

There. I hope this goes through and I don't see just text here without the image.

Does Kevin Faulk play for the Patriots or the Washington Sentinnels (The Replacements reference)?

Don't want to derail the thread, but magnetic tape media has a longevity of 10-30 years. If you have tapes that you treasure, better convert them soon.

That's a myth. That's a guess they made way back when, in the advent of magnetic tape. There's reel to reels from the 1930's still in fine shape. I ran an audio/video tape music rarities distribution label for 17 years in NYC. I gots lotsa experience.

Lotta Pats chicken littles runnin' 'round on this board but I didn't think I'd see one carryin' on about magnetic tape life expectancy. lol.
