The guy is horrible. I still don't get how he still has a job on the NFL Network. He is so out of his league there. And when I say out of his league, I am comparing him to Jamie Dukes. That's how bad he is.
Yep. That's the same Faulk that told everyone on NFLN last year that the Pats would trade awayTom Brady and keep Cassel. Brilliant man.
I don't see what the big deal is. Faulk was right.
Prior to 2007, Brady was like Dilfer. He took talented teams to Super Bowl titles.
In 2007, he became Manning when he allowed his superior team to be beaten by a clearly inferior opponent.
Now, let's all just hope that he's more Dilfer than Manning this season.
The defense was the biggest factor on the team in all 3 Super Bowls /QUOTE]
Super Bowl 38 sends its regards, PFinPA.
Deus it's totally off-base thats the problem. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Why couldn't he have said, "Brady was like Troy Aikman or Jim Plunkett or Terry Bradshaw and then became Joe Montana." . He failed miserably at putting the evolution of Brady's career in it's proper context.
Trent Dilfer was, well....Trent Dilfer.

Evidently, you didn't comprehend post #17.
Please read my post again, giving it the intended malicious intent towards both Faulk and Manning.

Basically then went on to call Brady the equivalent of Trent Dilfer until 2007.
The bitter Marshall Faulk quotes of insanity continue.
Falk was partially right, though his analogy was wrong. Brady was a better QB than Dilfer from the start (as the stats clearly show) However, Brady DID start out in 2001 as a game manager type of QB, however, by the end of the 2003 season, he had evolved from the care taker to the care GIVER, highlighted by his 2003 superbowl game. Since that time he's been the focus that the entire offense revolves around.
Marshall IS a jerk. DI WAS being ironical. And I still can't get over how WRONG I was about KOC.
Marshall Faux: "Tom Brady was Trent Dilfer UNTIL 2007".
Marshall is cryogenically preserved (though not decapitated like Ted Williams) from the year 2002.
