From WEEI Mike Patraglia

Midway through the fourth quarter, a fan jumped out of the stands and yelled, 'I love you, man,' to Patriots linebacker Junior Seau before tackling him to the ground. Stunned teammates looked on in amazement before the fan was ushered out of the stadium by security. "That has to rank as one of the most memorable moments in my 19-year career," Seau said, before adding, "Yeah, it was (scary)."

I wonder if they have it on tape somewhere. You think BB will sign him if he has good form?

Mike Reise on 5th Quarter called the tackle of Seau by the fan as the best tackle of a New England Patriot of the game

Re: Fan tackles Seau during 4th quarter

Was security escorting him out for booking, or for an interview with the Cardinal's Defense Coach?

I had actually misread that title at first. I thought Seau got tackled as a guest on the 5th Quarter TV show, since the news of this came out after the game.

If it was a girl I would have said it was Muse from PatriotsPlanet. She loves her some Seau.

We probably would have it on tape if they let us keep our sideline cameras.... oh, oh wait....

Re: Fan tackles Seau during 4th quarter

I doubt they will show any actual footage if they have it because it will entice other meat-heads to do dumb crap to get on TV.

Do you think Drugs or Alcohol may have been involved?

Re: Fan tackles Seau during 4th quarter

Role reversal:

Thirty-nine-year-old linebacker Junior Seau didn’t merely tie Jerod Mayo (17 years his younger) for the team lead in tackles with seven in the game, he had to shrug off a hit when a fan came out of the stands in the fourth quarter.

“I got tackled,” said Seau. “He got an unassisted tackle. We rolled around and said, ‘Merry Christmas,’ and they pulled him away.”

“I don’t know where he jumped from. Obviously, being as old as I am I couldn’t anticipate it or couldn’t see it coming. He blindsided me. To tell you the truth, (Mike) Vrabel saw it all happen. He was right in front of me. So I don’t know what he was doing.”

The incident taught Seau one lesson, at least.

“I would never rob a bank with Vrabel,” said Seau. “Mike is not the guy you want to rob a bank with.”

What a Classic!!!!

Fan tackles Seau on the sideline

Posted: NFL Network | Kara Henderson | Tags: Arizona - Patriots live blog, Junior Seau

I’ll leave you with this, perhaps the craziest thing that happened in the Patriots’ 47-7 victory over the Cardinals.

Halfway through the fourth quarter, an apparently inebriated fan jumped out of the Gillette Stadium stands and actually tackled Patriots LB Junior Seau on the sideline. The fan was, of course, forcefully removed from the field while being pelted with snowballs from five other fans who were still left in the stands.

As ESPN’s Wendi Nix put it, was that really worth a night in jail?

As opposed to the best tackle by a Patriot of a fan, which goes to Matt Chatham in SB 38!

Re: Fan tackles Seau during 4th quarter

I bet it will be on Patriots All Access next week.

Re: Fan tackles Seau during 4th quarter

I was sitting in the end zone and saw this guy get run, but I had no idea why he was actually on field level (a bunch of idiots got hemmed up for snowballs in the stands). Watta maroon. Good thing he didn't want to wish Big Vince a merry Christmas.

lmfao. I just imagined a fan trying to knock Vince over and bouncing off him and probly suffering some major injuries.

I wouldn't call that guy a fan. I'd go with "Well-traveled Streaker."

Re: Fan tackles Seau during 4th quarter

Was it better than the Knicks tackling of the Celtics?
