Yes, in 2002, it wasn't great, but they couldn't stop the RUN, that year. An embarrassing, pathetic, awful defense. No, Dan Dierdorf, not decimated by injuries, just bad. Every team in the league is missing 2 or 3 starters. And to the fanboys, its annoying because at 10-3 you know with JUST a little defense they would be playing the Packers. Look at Houston, they drafted a couple players, spent a little money and brought in a DC. For Bill Belichick the GENIUS to put together this flotsam and jetsam, its pathetic.

Also, poor clock mgmt, they got bailed out today. Plain and simple. Also, Fanboys, did you see your boy Orlovsky today? Its not laying back, its not focus, its not prevent, it a BAD, BAD defense with no talent, because they can't draft it, sign it or coach anymore. And Pats fans should be angry because if they can be 10-3 with this AWFUL defense imagine them with a good defense.

Funnily enough, the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad defense ended up being the unit that pulled us out of the game today.

Yeah Defense kinda sucks. We all know. Gives up allot of yards, average amount of points, relies on takeaways, etc. Old news is old.

At least the team's winning games and doing what they have to to come up with wins. It ain't always pretty but that's the way it is. I'll worry about the future when it comes. For now I'll sit content in the present.

It really gets on my nerves when I see fans say the defense is ok because we won the game. We can make it to the playoffs with a crappy defense because every schedule has weak teams that help your record. However, most teams in the playoffs are really good and they are able to slow down our offense. That is the time that the bad defense comes back to hunt us.

but when they give up big pass plays "theyre horrible, awful!"

WEEI mentioned that this team is 2nd in the league in interceptions/takeaways...thats not a fluke.

we're 10-3 and likely wont be facing any great QB's for awhile...I say weve got a chance
