PM already has more money than god.

He has a wife that loves him

He has two very small children

He has had 3 neck surgeries

His standing in Indy and in NFL history is secure

He has MVPs and a Super Bowl.

He has nothing left to prove.

He is looking at a rebuilding situation in Indy.

Other than playing because he loves it, retiring makes a lot of sense to me.

As formidable a competitor he was, I think this is a very wise move. He has got to be thinking about life after football and where your neck is concerned, it is never worth it.

But he would leave a huge hole- that much is certain.

Hope he'll do what's best for him in the long run. Gonna be weird not seeing him out there again if this is true, hope it's not.

You look through his tweets and you will see he is a big Colts fan. He is apparently close friends with Peyton and with the owner, Jim Irsay.

considering that twitter accounts are often hacked, though, I think we have to guess that this is likely not true

Remember in the NBA when David Robinson got hurt and the San Antonio Spurs got the First Pick and selected Tim Duncan. Some Teams are just lucky like that. I would be somewhat strange seing Indy without a QB. The Pats should go after Pierre Garson in FA...he's the WR's we have been looking for.
