That was a pretty weak "spike" that Johnson was penalized for. Much, much worse than the one that Marion Barber actually did earlier in the game (he, of course, was not penalized for it).

so whats up with Calvin Johnson? I expected him to have an adrian peterson type year. The next big thing in WR.

i think hes playing well..their offense is kind of like ours..spread it out and pass and hes getting his share in. hes quietly having a nice season even after going through a back injury thats been bugging him

It's rare for a WR to have a huge year as a rookie.
