Default "Yearbook" and "media guide"

What is the difference between the "yearbook" and the "media guide"? This season i would like to buy this kind of book about the Pats, but I don't know if the media guide is printed before the other...

Is the yearbook a "review" or a "preview"?

From what I have seen yearbooks tend to be more geared to what fans want to see (more pictures, positive stories about players) while media guides are as the title suggest more geared towards the media: more impartial, fewer pictures, not as many (positive) columns about players, and a whole lot more (bland for some fans) pages filled with statistics.

This isn't the Pats' media guide, but here's an example of the media guide for an NFL team: Philadelphia Eagles

Not sure if they publish at the same time, but i always buy them at the same time. Thats usually right before the season. As for difference, the media guide lists EVERY stat that has to do with every player thats ever been a Patriot. The yearbook just tells you all about the current roster, and anything to do with the stadium. Oh, and the cheerleaders also

I would think they'd probably be available right about the beginning of the preseason games. Here's a little bit on the 2008 versions.

Here's another publication that looks like it might be worth considering; the 2009 Patriots Annual by Maple Street Press. I've never read one of their publications myself but it looks like it could be pretty good.
