Default Bob Kravitz:Colts ultimate underachievers

Bob Kravitz: Let's just say it -- again: They are underachievers | IndyStar.com | The Indianapolis Star

colts fans must hate him like ron borges here but some of the analysis is spot on

Quote:
Saturday night's 23-17 overtime loss to the short-handed San Diego Chargers was all too typical of the Colts' recent postseason history.

It happens year after year after frustrating and infuriating year. And it's always something. The weather in New England. The officiating in New England. The long layoff before Pittsburgh. The Dwight Freeney injury against San Diego.

It's always something.

And yet teams like last year's Giants march on despite losing Jeremy Shockey, or the Chargers win this game without their top running back.

they are like the atlanta braves of the 90s. great regular seasons, but only win one title in a mix of playoff losses

He hit the nail on the head, but the fans will hold on to that 1 championship like it gets them somewhere these days.

and let it be noted that in that one title run, the D was the reason they won the SB, manning had a bad postseason, he threw 3 TDs and 7 ints and did not even get the team in the endzone against the ravens. if the colts fans dont want to blame manning for the losses where the D didnt play well they should give him credit for the wins where the D bailed him out
