They slumped at the right time. A new, rejuvinated, Manny-less Sox team will catch fire in August and overtake the Rays. The Yankees will win the wild card. Check out the Rays schedule from here on out, it's very hard.

i don't think the sox make the playoffs. not because they dont have Manny. but there bullpen is far to inconsistent and there starting pitching has been underachieving. dice k cant keep doing his high wire act and expect to keep getting away with it. josh Beckett is pitching like the 06 Beckett and bucholtz and wake are unreliable. the only guy you can count on is Lester. i hope im wrong.
