Papi was one of our best hitters this year, why part ways...just pick up the option for another year.

if you are insinuating best of the handicap line up, then yes I agree.

He is not worth his option....... sign V-Mart and then Werth in FA'cy

Ortiz was sixth in the league for home runs in 2010. Ahead of ARod, Beltre, Carlo Pena and J.D. Drew (among others). He's worth the $ for the option.

Name the list of players who hit 30 homers who are available for 1 year at $12.5 Million? Especially without giving up any prospects.

Jayson Werth multi year deal

V-Mart multi year deal

are so much better signings than picking up a one year option

Invest $$$$ in those guys not David "i'm going to get big and fat once I sign a longer deal" Ortiz
