Pretty sweet, actually. I'd rather take Pat White than a James Casey, but whatev.

Not bad although I really don't want a 4th TE and I would take a flier on a Harvin type over Lauranitis at #34.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think a conversion project like Barwin is too high-risk for #23.

One thing is clear: Looking at these first three round mocks, it is quite clear the Pats will be trading picks. They simply don't have the roster room for this many Day 1 rookies.

23 and 34 should produce nice players. Trading up from 2b or 2c up into that 30-40 range would be nice to get three guys from that group.

Very nice draft. I actually think Casey is an absolute steal at #89, and would be good value at #58. He has tremendous athleticism and versatility. He can play TE, H-back, fullback, and move out to WR as a flanker, and even was considered as a possible starting QB for Rice. He's very intelligent and mature and extremely competitive.

Some people will love the Laurinaitis pick. I'm OK with it if the Pats believed he would complement Mayo, but I just don't see it. I'd rather look at moving Larry English inside.

A lot of their picks are identical to what I had posted in my last mocks, including:

- Mark Sanchez at #4 to Seattle. I've had Sanchez to Seattle in my last 2 mocks (in fact, the top 5 picks match my most recent mock). Sanchez is said to be rising fast, and Seattle is said to love him. He's a much better WCO fit than Stafford.
- Jarron Gilbert to Tennessee at #30. I suggested this in a variant of my latest mock as well. Gilbert has so much potential that with 20 lbs. added on he could be the closest thing to an uber-athletic 6'5" DT to replace Haynesworth.
- Chris Wells to NO at #14, Tyson Jackson to SD, Josh Freeman to TB at #19, Hakeem Nicks to the Giants at #29, Knowshon Moreno to Arizona at #31, Alex Mack to the Steelers at #32, Darius Butler to Cleveland at #36, and Ron Brace to GB at #41.

Some of their picks are quite interesting:

- Maybin/Ayers/Brown going 9, 11 and 12.
- Clay Matthews to the Jets at #17. Not sure where NY would find room for him, with Scott/Harris inside and Pace/Thomas/Gholston outside.
- Maualuga at 20 to Detroit. Laurinaitis seems a better complement to Julian Peterson and Ernie Sims.
- Beatty at 21 and Britton at 22.

I'd probably go with:

23 - Barwin, OLB. Nice to see another "professional" mock considering him worthy of a 1st round pick.
34 - Laurinaitis or English to cover ILB. Though in reality I'd go with Delmas here.
47 - Delmas, S. I'd be thrilled if this actually happened.
58 - Jamon Meredith, OT.
89 - Casey, TE.
97 - TJ Lang, OG.

I can definitely get behind the first four picks! I would be thrilled with those 4 players. I know most interested posters here will argue for an OT and a different safety though.......

I'm not at all unhappy with Chung, but I can't see us passing up Delmas at 47, if by some miracle he lasted that long.

wow...the pats are going lb/lb with their first two picks? How things change.

Personally, I'd rather go Sintim, Heyward-Bey, Chung, Meredith, Coffman, Brinkley.

I seem to be taking Sintim a lot at #23 recently...so I might need to explore trade scenarios in both directions. I can't believe he's a third-rounder in this mock.

I think the signing of Joey Galloway makes it more likely we go for a guy like DHB. He won't have to play right away, is only scratching his potential, and with his work ethic and Moss and Galloway to teach him how to be a great NFL receiver, he could be a grand-slam pick.

Enough has been written about the safeties. I prefer Chung to Delmas, as he's played against better competition and has a significant edge in natural strength, which is huge if we want him to be able to play in the box.

I was going to go guard next, but somehow Meredith is still available. I can't resist taking him, as the sky's the limit with him. Plus, he's agile enough that he can probably cover guard in case of injury. Or move to tackle if Kaczur is needed at guard.

I have Coffman as the best player available at this point. He's sliding due to his foot injury, and I've never thought Chris Baker was a very good TE. He can take over Watson's role as the TE who can stretch defenses.

I'll opt for Jasper Brinkley with the comp pick, as I really want to have a two-down thumper to rotate in at ILB. He's also a great ST candidate, so he should be able to crack the game-day 46.

In the next couple of rounds, I'm looking at guys like Asher Allen, Mike Mickens, TJ Lang, Joe Burnett, and Jarrett Dillard.

FWIW back in February they had him going to Baltimore in round 2!

I like it.......

I would consider delmas at 47 since looking at the picks before 58 gives a good chance of wood being there

I like caey, but I'd bet the pats could do better than macho at 97
