Nadya's 4 months today! We went to the pediatrician for a weight check cos she's so vain. She insisted. She's now 5.34kg. Up from 5.295 on Monday. Yay!
She gets a present for being such a lovely daughter.

Nadya is getting stronger. She is at half roll. She still doesn't know how to completely flip over which is a good thing because the cardiologist still hasn't cleared her for that. I hate saying no to her. Daddy's gonna spoil her rotten.
When does she go to the cardiologist for her next check up? Have you been able to wean her off the NG tube yet?
Cardiologist on wed. The problem is, she doesn't want to drink when the tube is in. So we don't really know if we should take the tube out for fear that she won't. Right now, we're more focused on getting her weight up. I think we'll feel more comfortable taking it off when she's at least in the upper 50 percentile. She's still below so there's not a lot of room for dieting. And putting the tube back in is just horrible. So we'll see what the cardiologist say this wednesday.

Hey Nab,
I know it seems scary right now, but the 50th percentile for a kid with a congenital heart defect is great! I've been following this thread from afar and everything seems to be progressing nicely. How did the cardiologist visit go today?
She's averaging 14 grams a day of weight gain. Ideally should be at least 20. To complicate matters, Nadya ripped out her tube today because she's itchy from the rash developed by the sticky film. We're gonna let it off for a day or two to give her skin a break.
They've up some meds in hope she feeds more. The problem is she's not used to the heart pumping all this extra blood and her body is working too hard at the moment, burning too much calories. She's happy though. Her shots coming up this Friday.
We got a new toy for her but she's about a month too early for it.
