Time for the other tightends to step up.

Hopefully the X-rays are just precautionary.

The last play he was on the field was with about 6:45 left in the game. He was lined up on the right side and blocked on the play. It didn't look like anything happened during the play and although the he wasn't specifically on camera at the end of it he didn't look like he reacted to pain during the play. All I can think is that maybe he injured it earlier on that drive and continued to play with it, but he never came back on the field after that play.

I also noticed as he was walking off the field that he was bleeding from his right elbow.

It's time for the injury bug to have mercy on this team. Enough already.

Tom E. Curran just tweeted that a "source" tells him it is indeed broken.

A great win, but I would have preferred a loss to possibly losing Gronk for the year and Chandler Jones for god knows how many games. This really ******* sucks if true. I blame myself. Buy my first Tom Brady jersey prior to the 2008 season, Brady misses the season, buy a Mayo jersey after his rookie season, he hurts his knee and missed 8 games. Guess who bought a Gronk jersey while up in Boston early October ?
Thanks, Doc. He's done for the year? Where is your practice located? Howzabout you buy a Jets jersey, preferably somewhere in Jersey.

Yeah, depending on the break, he may not even miss a game. If it is broken, it is doubtful he will play Thursday. But I wouldn't be surprised if he is playing against Miami in two weeks if it is hairline. It all depends on the break and Gronk's tolerance for pain.

My guess is the only way he misses the season is if it was a severe compound fracture which I doubt was the case.
