It's to be expected, if you've followed his career at all. He was banged up quite a big at Florida too. When he's on the field, he's a big difference maker. I will say, though, that if Hernandez were to be the true "Welker replacement", the team should take a look and assess the amount of games Hernandez has missed over his career and factor that into the proceeding contract negotiations with Welker in the offseason.

Makes a lot of sense. Play him on Sunday, and he only has four days before playing again. Hold him out until Thursday, and then he gets 10 days to heal up before the next game.

And let's be honest. The Pats shouldn't need him to score lots of points against the Colts. Now if both Hernandez and Welker are out, then I'll be a little worried.

OT fantasy wise this guy is the weak link on my team. 6--4 still but cant help but think his being out was the result of 2 or 3 of those losses. Always stop gap waiver wire pickups to try to pick up the slack.

He will come back when he is ready I guess. Would love to see what this offense could do with him. Little scared at the depth this week if Welker sits.
