But to play devils advocate a little, and keep in mind I dont think this out wieghs the cost, but from what I have heard you do not buy PSLs but rather your basically putting a down payment as you are entitled to the money back when your time is up. And I also believe that with the PSLs you then are not subject to scalping laws and can sell your ticket for whatever price you can get for it.

Again I am not saying this makes it right but I think alot of people especially those like us that dont have to deal with them dont realize this.

Am I wrong about this? Like I said we dont have em hear so my knowledge is very limited on this subject.
You don't have it exactly correct. Buying a PSL gives you the right and the obligation to buy season tickets to that team's home games. (When I say you have the obligation to buy the season tickets, what I mean is that if you don't pay for your season tickets one year, you'll forfeit the PSL back to the team). As I mentioned in a previous post, having a team's PSL's gives you no rights to other events at the stadium.

When you want to get rid of your PSL, you can sell it to other fans for whatever amount they are willing to pay you. The team does not buy them back from you, nor do they at any time reimburse you for your purchase. You are not entitled to getting that money back and once the stadium you bought the PSLs in is gone, then so is your PSL (as the good folks in St. Louis are discovering).

Similarly, if you want to buy PSL's you can go to any number of marketplaces and make that purchase. So if you have the cash, you can be a season ticket holder tomorrow for the Steelers, Eagles, Ravens, Giants or Jets. Whereas if you want to be a STHer for the Patriots, good luck getting those anytime between now and 2035.

Owning a PSL has nothing to do with scalping laws, although considering there are something like only 4 states left in the country that actually have scalping laws (none of which actually enforce those laws) then I wouldn't worry about that.

It depends on the stadium. I know that many PSL's give you first dibs on any event held in the stadium.

Such as whom? Please name one such team.

Fact is not a single team in the NFL gives their regular PSL's holders first dibs on every event held in the stadium. Club seats and luxury box holders are a different story, but your regular PSL holders get no special privileges to premium events. Now don't get me wrong.... Like I said earlier, when Carrot Top comes to town, the PSL holders will get "Special Access" before the rest of the population. But when an event that people actually want to see comes, your generic PSL gets you squat.

Tennessee Titans | Tickets | Season Tickets

The Titans for one, but many more. The Ravens for instance do it on an ad hoc basis, no guarantees for all events, but they promise some.

Yes, though some teams have other names like PSO's (personal seat options) or some other such nonsense.

Most Jets fans have reason to question Woody's desire to win football games ... can any Pats fan say the same about Kraft? He is a homegrown fan, genuinely wants the team to win, and uses his shrewd business sense in areas that improve his team product and the NFL in general, while leaving the most important football decisions to quality NFL personnel guys. You can't ask for more from an NFL owner.

Always liked Kraft. Used to talk with him on the sidelines at Smithfield training camp. Or maybe he was just chatting up my wife...
Anyhow, back in the late 90s I got wicked pissed interpreting Kraft's remarks wanting to "stay competitive year after year" as indicating he'd settle for a team that was competitive in the race to make the playoffs but not indicating a desire to win it all. I grossly misinterpreted Bobby's quest for excellence, never mind dominance.

Sorry, but you're simply wrong. There are zero such teams, including the Titans. "Advance purchase of all events at LP Field" does not mean guaranteed seating. It means they give the PSL holders an advance code to log in to TicketMaster (for instance) early, but it most definitely does NOT mean you get guaranteed access to those same seats for any event you want.

Believe it or not, I have a copy of the Titans PSL contract right here in my hands and Paragraph 1, section b. states:

"The Permanent Seat License shall not apply to any events that may be held in the stadium other than Team Games" (and then goes on to essentially say "unless the promoter approves it.")

My friend, I used to be in this business (which is why I happen to have a copy of the Titans PSL contract in my files). You just really don't have a leg to stand on here. Not one single team in the NFL gives their PSL holders guaranteed seats to every event in the stadium (club seats and luxury boxes are another matter, but I'm talking about general admission PSLs).

That's kind of the point I'm making. When the NCAA LaCrosse Championships are played in M&T Bank Stadium, any PSL holder that wants seats can take 'em. But if a real event ever took place, forget about it.

Gee, I can't find a Craigslist ad that backs me up, so I'll just have to settle for this screen grab directly from the Cowboys website:
