Already putting in the excuses if they lose while trying to lobby the refs to crack down on the Pats.

Re: Jets want officials to give defense more time to substitute against Pats
It's a phantom complaint.
When I saw the thread title the first thing I thought about was the rule about substitutions.
- If the offense makes a substitution then the defense is allowed to make substitutions as well.
- If the offense does not make a substitution then they don't have to wait for the defense to make a substitution.
Here's the thing: once the Pats go to the huddle they don't make substitutions, or at least seldom do. That's by design, not accident; it's done that way for the express purpose of not letting the opposing defense make substitutions (or else get caught with players out of position, or get called for too many men on the field).
PFT picked up Pettine's comments and assumed the Pats make substitutions while running the no-huddle ... but if he stopped and thought about it for just a moment before writing then he would realize that making offensive substitutions means you're not going hurry up or no huddle since the offense has to wait for their own players to get onto the field.
Bottom line is the Jets are complaining about something that the Patriots are not doing - and Florio bought it hook, line and sinker as if it was an indisputable fact. It almost makes me wonder if he even watches the games, or just watches what the various headlines are that get published by the 32 team's beat writers.

I think they do this times. For example sometimes when a play is over
the one RB goes out and a different comes in as they are getting to the line.
Almost sure I saw something like this happen.( it might have be a WR sub)
Yes PATs do sub. Watch the Denver game with about 5 mins left in the 1stQ.
Riddley goes out then, play run no RB then Bolden is in on next play.

I agree the Pats do substitute on occasion; I just don't recall them substituting, have everyone run up to the line of scrimmage, get set, and snap the ball all before the opposing defense substitutes.
It also seems odd that none of the teams that the Pats have previously played never (to my knowledge) complained about this, but a team that has not played them (that just by pure coincidence is one that has a long history of complaining about the Pats) is publicly complaining about the no-huddle for the second time this week.

All of the other teams victimized by the no-huddle blitz obviously haven't liked it but have, more or less, conceded it's on them to stay up with it. Not the Jets. What a bunch of whining pansies. And Cryin' Ryan tries to promote them as a tough team?

Well see they are trying to show they are tough by complaining and hoping roger jet goodell will come to the rescue. What they should be doing is getting mentally prepared for the game. This will not help them at all but just show what they really focused on. Loosing!!
