Has basically ideal measureables with 6'5", 255, 4.54 40, 3.84 3-cone, and 32 reps. Tore his ACL in 2010 and was not good last season. If he can get all of that athleticism back again, then he could be a really good fit at OLB. Had 12 sacks in his first two years.

Interesting. He'd be an OLB in a 3-4, maybe taking a look for sub packages? He had 7 sacks a few years ago

I recall he had a good game against the Pats the year Cassel was the QB.

Two sacks in that game.

That would fit the Pats' MO of bringing in guys who played well against them

Before he got hurt, he was a real good pass rusher. Good burst off the snap and he had some good moves. Blew out his knee on a cheapshot on special teams. If his knee is all the way back, he can help out the pass rush. That being said, he is real weak against the run. Lots of trouble setting the edge. Teams would run at him all day with the Raiders.

That's likely the FO's thinking.

The knee ligaments usually take two years to regain full neuromuscular effciency, i.e. fluid movement.

He wouldn't cost much and could be a steal if his health remains.

Yup. Realized my mistake and deleted my post. Sorry about that.
