I dont have the stats in front of me, but I have the memory of Hanson being a real mediocre punter. Is there any chance for some training camp comp in there? At least to light a fire under him?

Then again, when was the last time BB didn't draft a lineman?

Actually, Hanson was better than a lot of people here think. I'm not saying he was an All-Pro, but I suspect the job is basically his to lose (to Dragosavich next year, I hope ).

I did see Eckel a few times, but those plays sure reminded me of how much I'd like to see Kelley Washington line up as WR. What a nose for the ball. I'm sure there's a reason Gaff beat him out, you always have to figure it's rapport with the Man, and I don't mean Bill. Maybe now that Washington has a year with the playbook and some more preseason with the Man, he can get his time on the field.

I just have that feeling that this guy could be the Mike Vrabel of WRs, finding his renaissance in New England. He's got the size, he's got tremendous body control and he's got football speed.
