Default Better FA Aquisition - Andre Carter or Brian Waters?

Out of all the FA Aquisitions this year,at this time only two players appear to have been worthy of a look and are the 2 best pickups this year - Carter and Waters.

Which of these two do you think has been a better addition to the team?...only ONE please.

Ocho and Haynesworth have been jokes for the most part so left are Carter and Waters ....Anderson and Ellis have not done quite enough IMO so are not worthy of a choice slot.

IMO You go with the player that helps the most important member of the team...that most important guy is Brady ...so my answer is Waters.

Waters has been more consistent and is arguably one of the best RGs in the game this year, but Carter plays a position where it is so hard to find an impact guy and he has been disruptive quite a bit in the backfield in recent weeks.

I would still go with Waters for now. Carter has the potential though to be the best free agent pick up in the league if Sunday was a preview of the rest of the season. I don't expect 4.5 sacks a game, but constant pressuring the QB.

I think Anderson has been a very good pick up too. He was a veteran minimum addition. He is effective in the pass rush. That is what you want out of a veteran minimum guy and anything more is a bonus.

If Carter hits double digit sacks he is heading to Hawaii as well

Against a porous KC line,he may hit 11 or 12 monday night

Andre Carter.

We needed pass rush, and we got it.

I voted Waters

you should have phrased the Q better than what it shows.

oh and where is the Tie button? They both are excellent in their own respects.

Mark Anderson.

That's not a knock against Carter or Waters. Both are looking Pro Bowl worthy.

But it really isn't a coincidence, IMO, that Carter has his best game upon Anderson making his first start. Anderson was consistently bursting off the line quicker than anyone. As a result, the Jets consistently kept a TE and a RB on Anderson's side. Anderson's initial pressure resulted in, I believe, two of Carter's sacks.

Having a legit pass rush tandem is so important. The Patriots might just have it. If so, look for Carter to continue to make an impact.

I voted Carter, but the discrepancy is really nil. He gets the edge only because he is relied on more heavily to influence the defensive performance (his game vs. NY was amazing and he had a FG-forcing sack vs. Dallas...just to name some examples) while Waters benefits from being part of a very talented unit which ultimately relies on Brady's execution more than anything.

Ask me this same question tomorrow and I could answer the opposite. They are that close.

Regards,
Chris

Who cares? They've both been great, and they're not competing for anything.

Sorry, how can anyone claim a guy who didn't get a start until week 10 because there was a big hole in his game (still is at stopping the run), over two guys who started from day 1 and had big impacts all season.

Anderson has been a very good pickup, but not even close to the other two.
