I only care about his reputation with Patriots fans. Most opposing fans hated Belichick before spygate. The last think I'd want him to do is try to change his personality to be more likeable to the rest of the nation.
That would be treason! If BB's apology was to help his reputation as you say, wouldn't that be disingenuous? Reputation?? I really don't care about reputation. That just brings me back to the "Phonies who work hard on their image" argument. Those types are weak.
Smiling as if to say FU is not lying. As a matter of fact, it is intimidating...hell, I like that! Most Pats fans want Bill to stay Bill. We don't want a phony coach who changes because people who don't know him don't like him. We all know those who are closest to him, love the guy. That is the only thing that matters in life. If people are quick to judge me and decide they don't like me even if they don't know me well, I could give a rat's *ss. I would never change based upon that knowledge, nor should anyone. I know that those who get to know me, like me for who I am. I am honest, truthful and loyal. To the rest, I'd just say go **ck yourselves.
But that's just me.
