OT: Man, the Dolphind are extremely active.
Quote:
Dolphins agreed to terms with WR Ernest Wilford, formerly of the Jaguars.
He immediately becomes the favorite to start opposite Ted Ginn. Wilford, 29, caught 46 passes for 518 yards (11.5 YPC) and three TDs as a rotational wideout in Jacksonville last year. He's going to an offense in transition and is unlikely to be a huge fantasy factor. However, Wilford is a tough blocker and possession threat with red-zone ability. He'll help the 'Fins move the chains.

Dolphins agreed to terms with DT Randy Starks on a five-year, $21 million contract, with $7 million guaranteed.
Starks has played in a 4-3 scheme in Tennessee the past four years, but is the big (6'3/315), high-upside type player Bill Parcells looks for. Of course, he's also had off-field problems, something Parcells said he wouldn't tolerate. It's remarkable Starks got this money with such little production as a pro.

Dolphins signed TE Sean Ryan, formerly of the Jets.
Mostly a blocker and No. 2 tight end type, Ryan is a Bill Parcells guy. He'll be behind David Martin and Justin Peelle, assuming they make the team. The 'Fins will probably look for another downfield threat at the position.

Dolphins agreed to terms with LB Reggie Torbor.
The Giants have lost Torbor, Kawika Mitchell, and Gibril Wilson is probably next out the door. Torbor brings size and versatility to Miami, but probably won't be looked at as a possible starter.

Dolphins acquired NT Jason Ferguson from Dallas in exchange for a sixth-round pick in 2009. The Dolphins and Cowboys will also exchange sixth-round picks this year.
Ferguson's play was up and down in Dallas under the Big Tuna, but Bill Parcells still has a fondness for him. He's likely to start at nose tackle this year, but has to prove he's healthy after tearing his biceps last season.

And they've shown interest in signing Calvin Pace and some other players.
Here's the question though, do they have the cap room to sign all the above players to those contracts, and sign Calvin Pace to the rumored ($20M guaranteed) contract?
