Default Specter: No Senate Hearings Planned on Spygate

He was on WIP In Philadelphia today.
He said that no senate hearings are planned for Spygate.
He said he a lot of other items that he has to attend to in the Senate
He also said that Belicheck would be deposed under oath as a result of the lawsuit and therefore there was no need for hearings

I have NOT been able to confirm as of 7PM

Is Specter stupid enough to believe that those lawsuits will make it to court? Any judge with a shred of credibility will throw them out.

In other words, Patrick Leahy told Specter to go screw.

Odds of Belichick getting deposed in a lawsuit are still pretty remote. The Patriots should be able to get the new lawsuit dismissed pretty easily since the plantiff is suing off a rumor with no hard evidence to find cause. No judge is going to allow a lawsuit based on a rumor.

Hahahaha, he wishes. The lawsuits will get thrown out of court long before anyone testifies to anything under oath. Besides, even if Belichick went up and repeated everything that he's said to date under oath, everyone would just claim that he perjured himself anyways.

That is throwing up the white flag. As a lawyer, he knows damn well that that suit will be dismissed and there will be no depositions taken.

BTW, do we have any verification of this in any way? I guess I am just worried about celebrating too prematurely.
