They just cut Rod Coleman and old friend Thomas Dimitroff seems to be planning a MASSIVE roster overhaul.

Brooking would make a really nice addition to the ILB rotation, dontcha think? I know his ideal position is probably WLB but he's been effective in the middle before.

If a player gets cut from Atlanta, I doubt they'll end up in Foxboro.

You have to ask if Brooking gets cut, why did a Patriots guy, Dimitroff, release him? Certainly the Falcons need LB's more than we do.

You do have to ask, but there could be a multitude of reasons which would not take him out of consideration for the Pats, for example:

1. cap considerations

2. personality conflict with new coaching staff

3. player is tired of losing atmosphere and needs a change of scenery (see Moss, Randy)

4. etc

One more,maybe he doesn't fit the system they're are going to put in place.

Here are the rumored cuts.

Warrick Dunn, Wayne Gandy, Todd Weiner, Keith Brooking, Lawyer Milloy, are all being speculated as roster casualties.

Here's another option.... OLB Michael Boley, who's 25 years old and had 109 tackles last season, is a RFA.

Under which tender? If it's the highest one, wouldn't we have to give up a 1st and 3rd round pick to get him?
