Default Tom Brady's first 7 years compared to other greats

Compiled some winning #'s for Brady and those often compared with him for each of their first 7 years as a starter.

Tom Brady (2001-2007)
Super Bowl Championships: 3
Conference Championships: 4
Division Championships: 6
Playoff Berths: 6

Joe Montana (1980-1986)
Super Bowl Championships: 2
Conference Championships: 2
Division Championships: 4
Playoff Berths: 5

Terry Bradshaw (1970-1976)
Super Bowl Championships: 2
Conference Championships: 2
Division Championships: 4
Playoff Berths: 5

Troy Aikman (1989-1995)
Super Bowl Championships: 3
Conference Championships: 3
Division Championships: 4
Playoff Berths: 5

Brett Favre (1991-1997)
Super Bowl Championships: 1
Conference Championships: 1
Division Championships: 3
Playoff Berths: 5

John Elway (1983-1989)
Super Bowl Championships: 0
Conference Championships: 3
Division Championships: 4
Playoff Berths: 5

So far Brady's still right on track to do what he needs to do to take his claim at the best ever. The only former QB to be on par with his current playoff numbers at this starting pace would be Aikman. Just some numbers I like to look at while trying to cheer myself up.

A QB does not play in a bubble. Wins and losses have to do as much with the coaching and the players around the QB as they do with the QB. The only way to compare is to give each QB the same coaching staff and team and see what they do against the same competition.

And when are you going to be able to do that? Name me one QB on that list for which that criteria doesn't apply.

This is why you can't compare QB's across eras. Too many variables.

Better comparison would be the individual statistics of the individual QBs. Championships are a measure of team success, particularly when talking about Brady. Brady has had an opportunity to actually win championships the past three years and has failed miserably each and every time. After all that has happened, particularly this last game, it would be ludicrous for anyone to claim that Brady is the GOAT or should even be mentioned as one of the GOAT. Greats perform under pressure, not fold like a chair.

Hasn't Brady played 8 years? Just because he rode the pine doesn't mean you can exclude it from the stats.

Your post just made me stupider, thank you.

Newsflash: Brady individual Stats are better than Montana's were. Folded like a chair? he engineered what should have been a game winning drive last night and last year his best receiver was Reche the drop machine Caldwell. Was he folding like a chair when he won 3 SBs in 4 years? Please tell me you were being sarcastic because no football fan could possibly be as stupid as what your statement makes you sound.
