It really doesn't matter anymore, IMO. I've watched that game plenty of times. If the Pats were cheating, they didn't do a good job because in the end, we almost lost the game. Brady threw one TD pass. The rest of our points came from Ty Law's TD return and Adam's field goals. We really didn't have much talent on that team. We won with Coaching not Talent. If the film study gave the coaches an edge. So be it. But the lack of talent on our team stuck out like a sore thumb. If the Rams cheated, they did a pathetic job because they lost the game.

You still need the players to Execute on the field. Ours executed well enough to win, the Rams players executed well enough to make it close at the end, but they still lost. I don't care how much info a coaching staff has, a game plan does NOT work unless the players execute.

I get the feeling when Mike Martz is asked about this he's just going to laugh it off and call it a bag of hooey, and say how the Patriots won that game and that's that.

I really wouldn't be surprised if every team does this. There's nothing inherently against the rules about it (unlike videotaping on the sidelines, which is in the rulebook). It's the fault of the Rams' security personnel to get the guy off the field. And you've got to be kidding when you say that no one noticed the Patriots employee in the stands filming the practice. Regular media were allowed into those practices, so what's the big deal? If they weren't, then the sole guy filming the practice in the stands who no one recognized would stand out like a sore thumb, wouldn't he?

This is likely why Martz has never piled on with his boy Marshall's contention that NE must have been doing something to beat the Greatest Show on Turf. If it turned out that the Pat's taped a walk through at XXXVI as payback or quid pro quo for something St. Louis did earlier in the week, Martz would want nothing to do with delving into any allegations. And he has consistently scoffed at them.

Marino was one of the most outspoken of the Sunday talking heads when spygate first broke, only we now know courtesy of his former HC that he had the benefit of unfettered headset communication in Miami apparently throughout his steller career. As likely did their QB during their treasured undefeated season. Although I'm sure Mercury never had a clue what they were up to...

Honestly, if some nitwit pol and a Heraldo Rivera wannabe end up opening up this can of worms, there won't be a team in the league that isn't impacted in one way or another once the dust settles. What some people fail to grasp is BB was nothing more than Goodell's opportunity to send a message to the entire league, cut the ****. And Bill may have pushed the envelope in part with that outcome in mind. I'm sure he didn't want to be the one singled out, but if it finally leveled the playing field, so be it. And unlike so many of his peers, he took his medicine like a man. As did the organization.

I think that is why so many of the high profile NFL comentators gradually backed off this story en mass. Given time and hearing all the stories that abound, they put this in perspective. Until a moron in the Senate chose to pry open that can again on the eve of a SB clueless as to where it could lead, as are the junior league mediots who are now once again intent on tracking this story into the ground in the firm belief that somehow BB will be it's lone victim.

Indeed. This rabbit hole, if you want to call it that, goes alot further than the Patriots. Much, much further. But does it actually impact the game in a meaningful way? I have a hard time believing so.

I stand by what I said earlier. It does not matter what kind of game plan a coaching staff has, if the players DON'T execute, the plan won't work.
The Players still have to make plays my friend.
