let's break things down to the smallest possible level!!!

Montana in SB's without Rice:

14/22, 157 Yards, 1 TD, 7.1 Y/A

Montana in SB's with Rice (average):

23/33, 328 Yards, 3.3 TD's, 9.85 Y/A

but I guess Montana made Rice great!!

Did you intentionally leave out Brady's SB MVP's? Since you seem to have highlighted Montana's!

It's nice that we have a good enough QB to put enough points on the board to only need a FG at the end instead of a TD.

Montana didn't have Rice in Sb19 vs Miami. Rice was drafted in 1985. Montana won the MVP for the 2nd time with a brilliant performance.

Sure BRady could have better stats then him at the end of his carreer but as of now, Montana is far greater, 0 INTS in Super Bowls

0 INT is what you base "better" off of? For real? Trent Dilfer had 0 INT in the Super Bowl as well. DILFER=BEST EVER!!!!

Surprise, a guy from San Francisco with 20 posts believes Joe Montana is the best ever, and Brady is not, and just has to share this fact with a message board devoted to the Patriots.

P.S. When I say "surprise", I don't really mean that it is a surprise.

P.P.S. Brady is better, because he did it with a team built under a salary cap and with a more balanced talent level. And because the notion of him being better made you angry enough to post this crap here, where even if people agree with you, they'll call you a ****** for pretending there is no discussion necessary.

P.P.P.S.

A point in Montana's favor is that he makes better commercials than Manning.

I'd say it's pretty inarguable that Montana has had the superior Super Bowl games from a statistical POV.

BTW, I see you failed to post what Steve Young did in the SB with the same weapons Montana had. Interesting ...
