Default Will We See Some 8 in the Box from the Patriots?

Something we rarley see the boys play and usually only on rare blitzes. Eli manning is rolling along because he's throwing a ton of 5-15 yard passes and their defense is keeping the score close.

Something we haven't seen much from the boys is 8 in the box ... especially in the first half. Belichick may weaken it to just 7 in the box but I'm thinking there will be series where Eli sees 8. There is little to no film to study to get ready for this because we rarely play it. It looks like 8 when we blitz but again .. not alot of film.

I don't think we do it all game ... especially in the heat. But I think we will see the most pressure defense we have seen all year. If Rodney was younger I would say alot of Rodney ... but I think it will be alot of James Sanders and I would not be surprised if the designated rusher will be Brandon Merriweather ... of whom there is no film of rushing the passer.

" but I think it will be alot of James Sanders"

I just posted in another thread about James. I agree with you,
I hope he has a great day.
Meriweather? ... maybe but he has little experience ... maybe?
It certainly would be a surprise.
