Default This could be the biggest home game in history.

I was thinking about how we have grown used to the playoffs and a thought occured to me that this could be the biggest game ever at Gillette. You've got to figure that an AFC CHampionship game is the biggest game a team could have right? But add the undefeated element to it and I don't think this could realistically be topped. (OK, they could go undefeated again next year and make it to the AFC CHampionship game going for 36-0 but I'm not smoking that ganja just yet ). I figure I'll use this angle at the game to try and get the people around me that much more revved up and hopefully that much louder. My biggest worry is the gloves and ski masks lowering the noise level though. Well, here's a toast with a shot of buca to everyone and the Pats going to the Super Bowl.

The biggest home game is the next home game..

I don't think this AFC Championship game matches up with the Colts at Pats of 2003 season (played in 2004).

The 14-2 Patriots were very much a scrappy, blue-collar team taking on the mightly Indianapolis Colts, whom up to that point did not have to PUNT in their previous two playoff games.

It was hyped as the IRRESISTABLE FORCE vs. the IMMOVABLE OBJECT.

Since this is the next game, its absolutely the biggest. I hope that building is a mad house. Anyone going to the game, be safe. And be LOUD.

I'd have to agree that this is the biggest home game because of the historical perspective on what this team can and will accomplish. It's not every day a team can and will go undefeated.

I agree completely. Remember, too, that this could very likely be Troy's, Tedy's and Junior's last home games as Patriots.

To those that have the good fortune to attend today's game: Make yourselves known, to both the Pats and Classlessers. Be quiet on offense, and deafening on defense. Put the fear of god in SD when they enter the stadium. Make them feel nervous, uncomfortable and afraid for their lives. Destroy their will to compete.

It's all up to you. Make this one of the most satisfyingly historic events in the history of NE professional sports.

i'd put that as number two. the snow bowl will always be number one for me, since, without it, we didn't get the first trophy. today's game has a great case as number three, though.

When I read the title, I thought no way. On further review, you might have something. The snowbowl game was huge, but that kind of was after the fact. No one knew what was going to transpire, a dynasty. Whereas, this is history in the making and we all know it. Damn, I'm getting goosebumps.
