And hate on T.O. all you want, he may be selfish and a "team obliterater," but he always steps up huge in big situations. The media says he's an *******. They also say BB is an *******. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, even though he's no Randy.
Just for the sake of argument, even during the Yankees' GLORY years, they had about a dozen TO's on their team. Again-this was during their GLORY years.

agreed. we live in an era of incessant media coverage and controversy, which is why these players "personalities" are almost as important as their play, which is sad. You now need to be not only an amazing athlete, but hold a PhD in public relations to be considered a good player, because the media has taken over and directly affects the outcome of games by creating the stories it airs. Fans here get mad when Pats personalities (BB) are at the losing end of this but they seem unable to universally apply the critical thinking they use in dispelling anti-Pats stories to other athletes.

Thats a big reason why Moss is a team player and T.O. is not,
T.O. wants all the stats and glory and Randy just wants team glory.

I kind of hope Ross or whoever covers T.O. tomorrow does such a great job that Romo can not find him open most of the game - and then its time to put the mute button on after the game,Win or Lose T.O. would go ape mad with those small stats while Randy knows whats more important......
does anyone know what the machine TO sleeps in is called? What does it do?

No he just did that BS crying junk to try and gain more media attention when deep down inside he blames Romo for everything and he was once again not a big enough factor in a game his team needed to win.

T.O. is the biggest piece of crap in the NFL

Se he doesn't do anything remotely like you said he would, yet he still did in your mind because it's what you think he secretly feels?

Wow...I don't know how one can argue with that. Maybe listen to what Steve Mariucci has to say about it....was T.O. faking the tears against the Packers for The Catch v2.0?

T.O. may be a loudmouth and may have upset people in Philly and SF, but on the field he's one of the most effective receivers of all-time, and one of the league's hardest workers (evidenced by the fact he got himself ready for this game, as well as the Super Bowl for Philly).

To say he's the biggest piece of crap in a league featuring Leonard Little is simply wrong.

O.K. Then maybe very highly paid underacheiving WR is more like it then....

While the stats say he is worthy of being called great,I say the games other than SB 39 that I have seen of him did not show me a guy that is flawless or even close to that by any means.

SB 39 was his greatest moment in his career IMO,But the team still lost....

I have seen him drop passes that are catchable time and time again,I could never say that of HOF guys like Rice and likely Moss in a few years down the road

T.O. has had a problem with drops in his career, yes. But to say that he's done nothing in his career?

Sorry, but as a 49er fan that just doesn't fly. The catch against the Packers? The record setting performance on Rice's last home game? His 177 yards and 2 TDs in the second greatest playoff comeback of all-time? It's ridiculous to say Owens has either underachieved or that he comes up short in big games.

He's easily a Hall of Famer, and a top 10 all-time WR.

I do agree that TO is a selfish player and I personally don't like him one bit. However, he is one of the greatest of all time and he is one hell of a player but anyone who pretends that he is better than Moss needs to consider a couple things. Moss is faster, taller, has better hands. jumps higher and runs better routes than TO. About the only thing that TO is better at was running across the middle earlier in his career which is understandable because the man is jacked. TO has also had better qb's throwing to him in his career(until ofcourse brady this year). TO has caught passes from the likes of Steve Young, Jeff Garcia, Donovan Mcnabb, Drew Bledsoe and Tony Romo. Moss has had the likes of Randall Cunningham and Jeff George, Brad Johnson, Kerry Collins, Bubby Brister, Aaron Brooks and Gus Frerotte, Spergon Wynn, Todd Bouman and Andrew Walter. A couple of Moss' former quarterbacks had decent years in there career but by no means compare to the guys TO had throwing to him(keep in mind moss now has brady and look what he has done). Bottom line, TO has had better quarterbacks who at times have made him look good and moss has had ****ty quarterbacks that he makes look good. Moss can make every single play on the field that TO can but Owens can't make some of the plays Randy can. Moss is also 4 years younger and still up there with owens on career stats even ahead of him in some. Moss also has more records and if he sticks with brady for the majority of the rest of his career he will go down as maybe the best receiver on paper ever to play the game. For now Jerry is the all time best but if moss surpasses him in stats there is no way you can make an argument that Rice is a better physical speciman that moss. Lets not forget to throw in that Rice and Moss would have two guys who get compared alot to eachother as their primary quarterbacks Brady and Montana but the Moss vs Rice argument doesn't deserve to happen until Moss has retired because like I said Rice is the best of all time.

Once again....Randall Cunningham a poor QB!?!

Also, I don't think you can overlook the effect Owens may in fact have had on Garcia, as well as the other way around. Why mention all of the terrible QBs Moss has received few passes from, yet ignore Steve Stenstrom, Ty Detmer, Jim Drunkenmiller, Jeff Brohm, Elvis Grbac, Tim Rattay, etc. (I don't know why you included Bledsoe in there for Owens, by the way)?

Not knocking Moss at all, and I would agree that he is likely a better receiver than Owens. But the Owens knocking always seems a little OTT to me, and the previous poster saying Owens comes up small in big games was way off.
