Default UK website needs serious translation help for pats article

The Unexpected Happened For Bears, Chiefs and Patriots | Football Sky Portal

I know I haven't had my coffee yet, but I am completely befuddled and bemused.

Some of the incorrect terms and phrases were hilarious.

"In this way Hernandez and Gronkowski became the key aspect of every issue regarding the offense like jog jamming, pass defense and road management. "

"Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and most of the new strategies did not work during the last season of the game. "

"As far as defense is concerned, there is no second thought about the Achilles strategy for defense mechanism. "

"Then, players like Martz and Jay Cutler turned the game when they were permitted to play the match forcefully."

I think the writer was trying to be funny by being very English but failed horribly, it made no sense at all.

Lol, it's like they went onto Patriots.com, found the most-frequently used words, and threw them together, with no attempt to use subjects as subjects, verbs as verbs, etc.

It actually strongly resembles English written by non-English-speakers. It shows up on other articles on the site, though not to such a great degree.

Wonder who the editors are . . .

I think they plagarized an American source and filtered it through one of those online translators from American-English to British-English.

I thought it was Indian English at first, but while Indian English phrases things in (to us) very unusual ways ("We will do the needful") this article just has huge mistakes in both grammar and content. My favorite line: "Regrettably, Danny Woodhead and rookie somehow tried to extend the games but Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski did not let that happen."

The grammar is bad. While slang terms and spelling may vary between the countries, the grammar rules are consistent. The article is just poorly written by any standard, wherever it may be written. It is a blog, so that likely comes as no surprise.

Usually, but there are exceptions even to that (though not to the degree found in the article). Collective nouns are the only grammar difference I can think of off the top of my head, we treat them as a singular noun while British English treats them as a plural noun (we would the "The team is doing well", they would say "The team are doing well.")
