Default Anyone else think Tuna/Dolphins not a good match?

Don't they get tangled in the nets or something like that? After the Vick fiasco, I think Huizenga is going out on a limb here. Thoughts??

He's a poor choice for front office position, no matter the team. Coaching under him will be brutal.

I can't see any possible way that this marriage ends well. Parcells belongs in a broadcast booth or on the tube, not in actual day to day operations with a team. The man is a team killer.

Dolphin-free Tuna is the only politically correct arrangement. I don't know if PETA will get involved, but it doesn't look good.

You folks dissin the Tuna forget that the Miami franchise has completely crashed and burned.
The Tuner has proven that he can ressurect a moribund franchise. Give him his 3 years or so, let him quit and then deal with the pieces of in this case an improved franchise but not a first rank winner. ANYTHING is better than the parade of coaches post JJ and QBs post Marino. It's been downhill.

Four out of four team surveyed were better off when he left than when he got there.

Is he taking them to the SB next year? heck no. But could he put together an A+ coaching team and a solid program, sure as hell yes.

His job is to find the hidden Belichick and Pioli.

I love it. I honestly believe that this will keep that putrid franchise down for another 3-5 years. He's on a 4 year deal and I guarentee that he will not finish the contract.
Coaching for him would be awful. Pioli would never make such a dumb move to GM for him.
This is just good news all around. Now if we can just get Herm to agree to come back and coach the Jets!
Peace.

IMO, the Big Fish is better than they had for the last many years in the FO. A problem may be though whether when he appoints a GM and HC, if he lets them do thier jobs or is overbearing and tries to tell them how to do thier jobs. My guess is the latter, but where he didn't like being told how to do his job, maybe he'll see that and leave them alone.

In the short term he could be a quick fix. Long term I think this ensures an unstable franchise will remain unstable as no one in their right mind thinks he will be there long term.

Yes I most certainly do.....For one thing, and probably MOST importantly.....Tuna is a LYING SCUMBAG that does not keep his word.......He has trouble dealing with most people......and is QUICK to CUT AND RUN when things do not go his way.....He F'ed the Falcons and USED them to push up the ante in the Pot to the doofins.....He is the OPPOSITE of all that is BB and the Patriots......He has DONE VERY LITTLE since winning the SB with the gints that last year..........and since coaching the Pats when they went to the SB in 96......he has not accomplished much......I see Fat Boy leaving the doofins after about 2 years.........TUNA SUCKS!!!!!!!!
